If you still don’t have this or you haven’t registered for Amazon Mom– let me say that this is awesome. I adore Prime and Amazon is currently offering a month trial of it FREE.
Here is why you need it:
- Free two day shipping on almost everything
- No minimum purchase. You can literally buy something for .20 and have it shipped 2 day for free.
- If you need the item overnighted, you pay just $3.99.
So the Amazon deals for the holidays are fast and furious. Later today I will be posting movies priced at $1.99! If you do not have Prime you need to spend $25 for free shipping. If you have Prime your shipping is free!
So I just can’t tell you how much I love this service and to have it for free for your holiday shopping is just awesome. Trust me you will love this! The only string attached to this offer is that this only applies to items from Amazon directly. If you choose a 3rd party shipper, you will need to pay shipping.
So you have THREE options to get it for free:
1. Amazon Mom
2. The Free 1 month trial posted above
3. If you are a student you can also get free prime
Thanks Deal Seeking Mom!

If I sign up for the month free will it charge me the 79.00 for the first year or by selecting do not renew, will it automatically cancel the prime after 1 month? It sounds like a great offer but I do not want a lot of hassle to contend with. thanks

Crystal, That has never been the case with Amazon before on any of these trial offers. I already have Prime so I can not see the details for an account that does not have it. I would recommend reading the fine print on the offer before you sign up. I would be very surprised if they did charge you, but again I can’t read the details so tell you for sure.

For some reason it seems to have signed me up for a full year of Amazon prime… I selected “do not auto-renew” in my account and it told me that my prime would not be renewed when it expires on Nov. 24, 2011. Not sure if this is a glitch, but if not, this is GREAT! I love prime!

Hi Charlene,
I have Amazon Prime for Moms and it is AWESOME!! I am trying to determine if I need to cancel my account when the end date approaches. I read the fine print and does not appear that they will charge me for a year’s subscription. I just wondered if you knew for sure. I think my end date got extended due to some of my purchases but it is hard to tell.
Thanks, Kami

Kami- my understanding is that it just ends. I see the new Prime they are offering seems to be a deal where they charge you when it ends but the one we signed up for did not say that.

Thanks, Charlene! That is how I read it too!
