Oh boy it is finally time! One of my friends had a countdown on Facebook last night for this sale 🙂

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is here and it is time to get busy! There is just so much to this sale it can be really overwhelming. After a few years of shopping, this is the approach I take to it.

I break everything down by category and look- so shoes for example. I filter the prices I am willing to pay ($150 or less is the most I will pay for shoes) and then I tend to look page by page. You might want to filter down even more to boots or sneakers or whatever you specifically need.

Then I add everything into my cart that I super want and then look at the total. That makes me feel sick and I start to edit from there until I get to a fairly reasonable amount to spend and I check out. I get as much as I can pick up curbside and have the rest shipped. Once I pick it all up, I try it on thoughtfully at home, look at the items against what I already have and decide what is a keeper and what goes back.

I promised myself after my big closet purge last year that I would only buy what I really love and what really suits me (and is practical for my life) so I am trying very hard to be super thoughtful with purchases.

I thought it would be helpful to highlight some of my favorites in each category for you as well. I don’t want this to be too overwhelming so here are four categories for women and if y’all find it easy to shop, I can certainly do more quick roundup posts for other categories.
