This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Disney Junior. Our love of all things Disney is all our own.
We adopted the sweetest puppy back in December and he is just so fun and so happy to travel along with us everywhere we go. He doesn’t get to go in the car that often but when he does it is usually on a hike, to the park or to the dog park to play and burn off energy. When we do decide to make one of these trips, it is usually last minute and after getting myself ready and the kids ready, I don’t always have a lot of time to get the dog ready. So when I had the opportunity to partner with Disney Junior®? on a fun new series featuring puppy dogs, I had the perfect project in mind for our own puppy adventures.
I wanted to make a little puppy play kit to keep in the garage that has everything we need for an adventure with our boy that I can just grab and go. Nothing too fancy but just a place to keep the outdoor essentials stored that is durable and easily popped into the car as we are heading out.
and bucket just to have something durable and washable with a handle. I decided to customize the bucket with my cutting machine by cutting out this Let’s Play in white vinyl and attaching it to the front of the bucket. You can also find adhesive letters and stickers at craft stores or try freehand paint. It would be very cute to have your children draw a family photo on the front of the bucket with markers too.
Next I filled the bucket with the things we regularly use:
Next I filled the bucket with the things we regularly use:
- Collapsable water dish
- Bottle water
- Tennis balls (for the park)
- Pet Wipes (for wet, muddy, sandy paws)
- a bone (I like to have something to distract him so we can picnic in peace)
- Tick medication (we apply this just prior to hiking)
- toy (optional)
- extra potty bags
And that is about it! Pretty simple and this can totally be customized to camping or traveling with your pet. You can add first aid supplies, training treats, shoes or cold weather/hot weather items and so on.
Stock this once with all your supplies and keep it in the garage or in the back of the car so it is always handy to grab and go. You can use a larger container with a lid and just keep this in the car if adventure with your pet is more frequent.
And if you have little children at home, I have to tell you about the inspiration for this post. Have your children watched the new Disney Junior® show, Puppy Dog Pals? Well my girls both flipped when they saw the previews for this series. It is about two Pug puppies that are brothers and go on all sorts of adventures in their magic dog house. The puppies believe that life is more exciting with your best friend at your side.
The show really couldn’t be cuter and my little girls are absolutely obsessed with dogs. They stumbled upon Pug puppy videos on the internet somehow and both girls have been begging us for months to adopt a Pug. This cartoon is right up their alley and they haven’t missed a single episode.
Puppy Dog Pals can be found on Disney Junior® or check in to the Disney Channel from 6am-10am this summer to get the newest episode of many popular Disney Junior® shows like Puppy Dog Pals on Friday mornings!
