I originally came up with the idea for a cute little S’Mores gift basket for teacher gifts a few years ago. I loved how they turned out, it looked like I had gone to a bit of effort and they were super affordable to put together.
I wanted to revisit the idea again this year and also add a little printable tag.
Originally I was going to make these for teachers but then it occurred to me that these would be darling as little end of year gifts for the kids in the class too. So I have both ideas for you. I don’t always do last day of school treats but my kids are so proud taking something special to school and really this is cheap and quick to put together so why not right?
The first idea is a gift basket for teachers/ dance teachers/ Coaches/ bus drivers/ school secretaries and so on…
I purchased cute little baskets from Michael’s, good quality chocolate bars, graham crackers, skewers and had some red gingham fabric from another project. I would say this was about $9 or so total to put together.
Try fun variations on a standard chocolate bar- if you haven’t had a peanut butter cup S’More I can tell you they are amazing! Dark chocolate or chocolate with nuts or with caramel- yum, yum, yum.
I wanted something a bit more gourmet for the teachers so I made vanilla marshmallows to go in the basket but store bought would work fine. (Homemade marshmallows are wonderful though- get the recipe here.)
I just packaged everything up and all done! I think there is something about S’Mores that just screams summer and all the teachers have families so hopefully they enjoy these baskets with their own children this summer.
Next up is a cute little end of year idea for the class. I picked up graham crackers, store bought marshmallows and the small chocolate bars (8 for $1.00) and little treat bags.
Popped everything in the bag and added a little string and the note and all done! Now I just need my little girls to write their names on the tag and that is that. You might also put your email or phone number on the back of the tag to keep in touch with kids in the class over summer.
I think these little tags would be fantastic for Valentine’s Day too if you’d like to pin them to remember. I have yet to meet anyone that doesn’t love a S’More 🙂
So hopefully you like this idea as well and if you come up with a cute version of it please be sure to come back and let me know!

And if you are ready for s’more (ha!) S’More recipes- here are some other ideas:

Hi Charlene!
I love this idea! Where did you get the cute roasting tools for the marshmallows? They look like they would fit into the basket perfectly.

Hi Emily! Thanks! I think I got those on clearance at my local grocery store, Raley’s 🙂 I have seen them in the Dollar area at Target and at Walmart I believe near camping stuff. Usually there is a S’mores display in stores as we get closer to summer and sometimes they have accessories there. Good luck!
