Here is a really simple and fun idea for Christmas morning.
North Pole Hot Chocolate!
Our Elf on the Shelf actually brought this for my girls a few days ago but I plan to make it again to watch the Polar Express on Christmas Eve.
You might already have the ingredients on hand- just candy canes, something sticky like cake icing, hot chocolate and a red candy (M&M, skittle, gumball) or in a pinch a mini marshmallow would work.
I cut little North Pole tags out with my Silhouette Cameo- you can easily do the same with just pen and paper.
I opened a candy cane and cut off the hooked end- not too much or it will be too short for the mug.
Then I used a piece of tape to adhere the tag to the candy cane. I used cake icing I had on hand to cement an M&M to the top of the candy cane and that is it!
I think this is very cute and my girls loved these.
If you have lots of children coming for Christmas you can use disposable red or green cups and then make a bunch of these for the dessert table. Make a batch of this delicious Crock Pot hot chocolate and how fun would that be?
You might pin this for next year’s class parties!
And here is my little baby girl enjoying her hot chocolate.
