I can’t even begin to tell you how long I have spent on this project. I don’t actually use a coupon binder myself but I know I am in the minority on that and lots of you consider your binders part of the family.
When you are new to couponing, one of the big hurdles to overcome is simply getting everything sorted out and organized. So hopefully I can help! I spent a long time doing research and testing products and hopefully I have come up with a pretty decent custom coupon binder.
And I have 5 of them ready to go as a giveaway for five of you guys and I hope you like what I have pulled together! These binders are fully organized and even include a few complete coupon inserts so you are off to the races!
If you would like to win one custom binder filled with everything I think you need to get started using coupons (or move yourself up to the next level of using coupons) you have a few chances to win:
1. Just leave a comment below letting me know what system you use to organize your coupons. Do you have them in a nice binder already, an accordian file, envelopes, all crumbled up in the bottom of your purse? I was actually the latter of those selections until this weekend when I finally got through about a zillion coupons and now they are nicely organized. (whoot whoot!)
2. FOR A BONUS ENTRY: Just like My Frugal Adventures on Facebook. Easy peasy. Make sure to leave a SECOND comment letting me know we are friends!
AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO WIN:
You can share this giveaway on your Facebook wall. I have extra binders all set to go and if one of your friends likes My Frugal Adventures and wins the giveaway, you get a binder just for referring them!
To share this on your wall just look for the little blue f in a square at the bottom of this post. It looks like this:
Click that and this giveaway will post to your wall!
So good luck! I will pick a winner on Thursday at 7pm PST.
*Note: I know there are lots of male readers these days which is just awesome. So not to worry I have a choice of two colors in the binder for each winner. So you guys won’t be hauling around a bright pink binder unless you decide that’s the one you want.
Please be sure to leave a comment by clicking below. Any comments on Facebook, twitter or via email will not count!

I would love to try this method but it intimidates me a little. I use an accordian file right now sorted into general categories. I try to get rid of expired ones 3 or 4 times a year. It takes time to get everything together but so far so good.
i have a small accordiam file but i may hve to upgrade cause i keep losing track of the ones i need when i really need to have them- i need to get organized i guess
I use a small check accordion file I got from Target
I am using a binder I just got from walmart. It has a zippered side and I organize the coupons alphabetically. I’m still learning how to look at sale papers and figure out my own deals, but it’s still so easy to look online and get the help I need!
I have a tiny accordion file. It works ok for me, when the coupons actually make it into the file! 🙂
I like you on facebook
I have no organization which is why I need a binder. I hate it when I’m buying something and remember I have a coupon but it’s not there cuz it’s at home or in my car, or whatever
I already liked you on Facebook
we are friends on facebook!!
I am not organized at all!! This would totally help! I just throw my coupons in my wallet!
Some of my coupons are in a binder, yet others are in envelopes and even in piles waiting to be sorted!
I use an accordion file, but am not very organized with it…
I used to use a binder, now I just have a stack of inserts with a post-it note dividing them with the date. Would love to start a binder again!
I am a newly addicted couponer and a lady I ran across showed me her method for organizing which I thought was a great way to start since its cheap and pretty simple. I just have a photo binder – the kind with little spaces for labels by each photo slip. I just wrote out on some stickers each store name and 3 or 4 categories under each section (i.e. perishable, frozen, canned, toiletries, etc.). I am quickly seeing the need for more space and more categories, though, so a binder put together by a professional would be such a huge blessing!!
I have a VERY small binder with them organized in categories and then by date of expiration. They are housed in trading card covers. I need a bigger binder and more coupons! 🙂 When I am ready to use coupons I place them is snack baggies according to the store that I will be using them at. I also can go through my binder quickly to check what is about to expire.
and I like you on facebook!
Unfortunately I do not have any organization … coupons are in my purse, in car on front seat…just little mess.
I am posting this to my fb page too! I already like you on fb and subscribe to your email updates 🙂
We are friends on facebook! : )
I currently have the inserts in a file folder. I have been putting my printables in a notebook alphabetically. Still trying to figure out to best way, because several times I needed coupons with me in the stores… I need help!
accordian file is what i have
I have already liked you on facebook.
I use a small file envelope and also a plastic sleeve where I put what coupons I will use for that week.
I just currently keep mine in a plastic bag. I am just starting to get into couponing.
I have “liked” you on FB for a while.
Currently, I’m using an envelope system, which isn’t really working for me. I’m relatively new to couponing, and I’ve already tried an accordian file system with no success, and now I’ve moved on to the envelopes, which I don’t really like either. Next on the list is the binder, so I’d love to win one! 🙂
Right now I use an envelope. Not very sophisticated. Not very good either.
We are friends on facebook!!
i follow you on facebook
Just started using coupons this weekend and don’t have a system yet. Just keeping all my coupons in a photo box. Would so love to win a binder!
I also just “liked” you on Facebook! I can’t wait to start seeing updates from you!
I have a binder but it is not a zip up kind and I have trouble with the coupons falling out of the top sections. it is easier than an acordian type. Would love to win one of these.
liked the fb page!!!
Already like you on facebook.
I have just went from one to two binders. Right now each have half the alphabet, but they will be changed to food / non-food items once I get a little time. =)
I use a small accordian file and a shoe box. I need a new system badly. I ALWAYS forget to hand over at least 1 coupon every trip. I’d love to stop doing that!
I just recently bought a filing cabinet from Goodwill that I store my coupon inserts in. I label the first folder with whatever date the inserts are from and then separate the different kinds of inserts in the folders that follow, and then simply repeat with the next weeks inserts. I just recently realized that leaving the inserts whole and just going back to them to get a certain coupon is a lot easier than clipping the ones I like and then trying to dig through all of my coupons trying to look for a certain one. I’m pretty new to this so I’m glad I figured this out now instead of a couple months from now.
I’m one of your FB BFFs. =)
I like you on Facebook, also 🙂
Just liked you on Facebook.
i am an envelope/ crumpled coupon person right now!!! i need to find the time to organize them!
I have a ‘pile’ that I sort through each time I go to the store. A binder might be a good idea!
I have mine in an accordian file by date of circular and then in an envelope and organized by date for my loose ones.
I have a coupon binder, but it is getting too small so I am on the lookout for a bigger one one sale 🙂 Also have an accordian that I just emptied into my binder that I am giving a way to a friend that I have started on coupons. Have a big manilla folder with coupons for things I don’t use.. just in case 🙂

I have liked you on FB for about a year. Love all the deals you post.
I also like you on Facebook 🙂
I have a small accordion file and a few envelopes, i’m not very organized yet!
We are fb friends!!!
I use a small coupon binder that fits in my purse. At home I have the inserts in a box.
