CLOSED: Giveaway: Keurig Brewing System!

keurig

The winner was AnnMarie via comment contest random selection.  If I do not hear from her by Sunday I will select an alternate winner.

AnnMarie says I”ve tried this coffee before at my friend’s house and it was excellent. Ever since, I have wanted this coffee maker, but something else always comes up. I love flavored coffees but my husband doesn’t. How awesome it would be to own something like this!!!!!

I have a fantastic giveaway in honor of Mother’s Day and I can’t wait to see who wins this baby!

I recently got the chance to check out the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System and Keurig was kind enough to give a brewing system to one lucky MFA reader.

I had heard so many raves about the Keurig machines that I couldn’t wait to check it out.   I happen to love coffee.  I am one of those people that sings the Folger’s song every morning..“the best part of waking up..is coffee in my cup!” And I have had a Tassimo machine for awhile which I adore.

Now I am not going to tell you that these coffeemakers are frugal.  This Special Edition coffeemaker is currently $150 on Amazon.  You also need to buy the K-Cups which go on sale for $15 for 48 cups.

If you can fit this into your budget I have to tell you these machines just make wonderful cups of coffee.  I ran out of Tassimo disks a few weeks ago and went back to my regular old pot coffee and the difference was astounding.

For me the major advantage to the Tassimo is that you can make espresso beverages.  So I can make cappuccinos, Chai Lattes, Caramel Macchiatos etc.. in addition to regular coffee and teas.

But what I noticed about the Keurig is that it is much sleeker looking on the counter.  Also it seems to me that the Keurig K-cups are much less expensive than the Tassimo Disks.  I think for those that just love really good coffee or tea the Keurig is a great answer. One other advantage to the Keurig is that you can buy the reusable filter and grind and brew your own coffee- which might be a little less expensive.

One other thing I just love about these machines is how neat and clean they are.  I have to refill the water about once a week (more for the Tassimo) and then just pop the cartridge in and done!  For some reason actually brewing a pot of coffee always used to seem like such a massive production first thing in the morning.

*********

So here is your chance to get your hands on this awesome machine!

Enter to win by leaving a comment below letting me know:

1. How do you make your coffee everyday?  I start the morning with a cup of Gevalia(Tassimo) or Green Mountain (Keurig) and then move onto a Chai Latte or Caramel Macchiato in the afternoon.  Before I started my frugal adventure I used to hit Starbucks twice a day (yikes!)

If you would like extra entries- you can do this once per day- just be sure to leave a comment letting me know you did!

I start my day off with a big pot of coffee. Extra Chocolate creamer in it makes it extra yummy!

I have friends and family with these and they love them. They have just felt like too much of a splurge for the equipment. I am like you, love my coffee in the morning (and even into the afternoon). I have been making coffee on a 12 year old coffee maker. Medium roast, 3 splendas, and creamer.

I have heard from others that this coffee machine is awsome! It would be nice to be able to make a cup at at time. This will allow for fresh coffee each time. At my house we make a pot of coffee each morning and each evening. We LOVE coffee. The Keurig looks so nice!

I would LOVE this. My husband hates coffee so I have to make a cup just for me. Doing the coffee maker is such a waste so I do the coffee press. Ah the ease of the Keurig.

AWESOME!!!! Right now, we use a Grind and Brew maker. We buy our coffee from a non-profit that works directly with farmers in Guatemala (fair trade). I posted this in facebook, too!

this would be fun to win, I’ve never tried one before. I really look forward to my coffee every morning and MUST have hazelnut coffeemate creamer in it. My husband goes to work too early to enjoy coffee with me so I just make enough for one big happy mug for me! I also tend to brew mine super strong, I like a nice kick start to my day.

When I seen this I just had to try! Just once because I am a very busy single mother of three. I love my life but I must start everyday with coffee. It is Maxwell House for me. I have seen you post about the Keurig cups on Amazon. I could never afford one of these machines. I would be most grateful is you choose me as your winner. I will not post again because I am also a full time working mother. I did put it on my FB page and hope you get a lot of hits from it. All my friends know I coupon. I give a lot of my “coupon shelf” to my church that has a food bank. They do not supply non-food items so I am able to bless them in many ways and that is because of your web-site has taught me so much. Thank you for considering each of us.

My husband makes the pot of coffee the night before and we turn it on in the morning. We have a timer, but find that if we just turn it on first thing it works better for us. I love Starbucks and my sweet hubby buys me gift cards there sometimes. Thanks for the giveaway!

My wonderful daughter (17) bought me a cappuccino machine for Christmas. She used to work as a Brista. And while it is wonderful, it is a Mr. Coffee, I’d love a Keurig.

I have a small 4 cup coffee maker. I am addicted to coffee. I get up make my coffee add my creamer and head out the door! I have heard such amazing things about these items and would love to try it!

  22. Deb B says

I make a travel mug of whatever I’ve picked up on sale. I like Gevalia, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts the best. Later in the morning I make another mugful and then I’m done for the day. Now that the warmer weather is here, I’ve switched to iced. Still make it the same way but switch to a bigger container and lots of ice!

Coffee is the one “treat of the day” that makes my day more special. I like to try many different brands with Gevelia being one of my favorites. My daughter and her husband travel frequently so I watch my grandsons. My “Travel Gift” from them is always a coffee from the vacation site they have visited. I am enjoying Whidbey Coffee from Whidbey Island near Washington State right now. I have wanted the new Keurig Brewing System since I first saw it. I left a message on my facebook account. I really want to be the winner.

This would be so amazing to win. I usually stop at Dunkin Doughnuts or Starbucks for a Carmel Latte in the mornings, it would be so nice to make it home, it would save me some money!! I’ve also been trying McDonalds Carmel Frappe’s lately, so good!

Great give away! I love my coffee! I entertain often and have a coffee maker in the kitchen for regular and one in the dining room for decaf guests. Would be a great way to let my guests choose their own. Every thurs I have 14 guests and countless others during the week so many people would be blessed by one coffee maker. So you asked how do I take my coffee? With friends of course.

Well, when I do have time (with 2 little one’s, rarely), I use our large Gevalia coffee maker, never finish what I brew & forget to clean it! I’d love the convenience & options with this item.

I love these! We have one at the office–I agree that making a pot for some reason does feel like a project in the morning. I have been resorting to the Dunkin drive-thru for my morning fix.

Ohh that is a nice giveway. I love coffee. I did not drink to much coffee that when I live in Peru. Now i live in Seattle and is very cold most morning so coffee is always welcome and warm the day.

We start our day with plain old drip coffee with some vanilla creamer (pretty boring). Occasionally I will hit Starbucks for a raspberry mocha, YUM. I’ve heard so much about the Keurig machine, I would love to try one.

I have to have my Starbucks iced mocha every day, but have cut it down to once a day (still yikes!). I need this so I can get the push to actually make something at home that tastes good. I can’t seem to figure it out with our current machine. Thanks!
