AnnMarie says I”ve tried this coffee before at my friend’s house and it was excellent. Ever since, I have wanted this coffee maker, but something else always comes up. I love flavored coffees but my husband doesn’t. How awesome it would be to own something like this!!!!!

I have a fantastic giveaway in honor of Mother’s Day and I can’t wait to see who wins this baby!

I recently got the chance to check out the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System and Keurig was kind enough to give a brewing system to one lucky MFA reader.

I had heard so many raves about the Keurig machines that I couldn’t wait to check it out.   I happen to love coffee.  I am one of those people that sings the Folger’s song every morning..“the best part of waking up..is coffee in my cup!” And I have had a Tassimo machine for awhile which I adore.

Now I am not going to tell you that these coffeemakers are frugal.  This Special Edition coffeemaker is currently $150 on Amazon.  You also need to buy the K-Cups which go on sale for $15 for 48 cups.

If you can fit this into your budget I have to tell you these machines just make wonderful cups of coffee.  I ran out of Tassimo disks a few weeks ago and went back to my regular old pot coffee and the difference was astounding.

For me the major advantage to the Tassimo is that you can make espresso beverages.  So I can make cappuccinos, Chai Lattes, Caramel Macchiatos etc.. in addition to regular coffee and teas.

But what I noticed about the Keurig is that it is much sleeker looking on the counter.  Also it seems to me that the Keurig K-cups are much less expensive than the Tassimo Disks.  I think for those that just love really good coffee or tea the Keurig is a great answer. One other advantage to the Keurig is that you can buy the reusable filter and grind and brew your own coffee- which might be a little less expensive.

One other thing I just love about these machines is how neat and clean they are.  I have to refill the water about once a week (more for the Tassimo) and then just pop the cartridge in and done!  For some reason actually brewing a pot of coffee always used to seem like such a massive production first thing in the morning.

    Hmmmm…workday starts with dunkin donuts coffee with a shot of hazelnut. Weekends at home start with all kinds of flavors from my over 10yr old krups coffee machine. I have been staring at the keurig with lust for many months now! This would sooo save me time & money!

    ok why would I want his wonderful machine, or better yet, why would I NOT want this machine. I can’t think of anything that would please my husband more than a really great cup of coffee. Also this seems to be the stopping joint for several people in our little village to get together in the morning for coffee to start their day. I would love to surprise them with a really great cup of coffee instead of my Mr Coffee, of course then they would tell others and they would come too, but thats ok, I’d love it. And I would love the cappuccino. That would be my favorite, no more stopping at the quick stops for cappuccinos.

    Lately I’ve been brewing “Cowboy Coffee” in the morning. You know, the kind you make when your brewer dies, like mine did a couple days ago…..It was an old Senseo machine and I was planning on replacing it with a Keurig anyway,you never know, maybe I’ll luck out!No sense in buying it till I see the results of the drawing. So it looks like I’ll be toughing it till Wednesday, or going to Peets!

    PS Charlene you’re a genius, I wish I would’ve started my personal frugal adventures years ago (think of all the $ I could’ve saved)

    So we make a pot here….my husband drinks that…..I usually hit Starbucks because I LOVE their mochas…..but I, Like you, need to start my frugal adventure and start brewin at home for myself! That will save me $4.10 EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m a black coffee girl! I love at least one hot cup of Starbucks Breakfast Belnd every morning…or more if my lovely kiddos don’t sleep through the night!

    I would LOVE to win a Keurig Brewing System. I currently buy 3 Chai Lattes each week and the other two days I brew regular coffee at home and drink some of the horrid stuff they have at work. I regularly drown my coffee at home with 1/3 creamer as I love mine creamy! I have been thinking about getting a Keurig for sometime now and have even hinted it to my husband. Hopefully I’ll win and he can get one of my other suggestions!! I know he’d love to be able to make Caramel Macchiatos as that’s his favorite drink!!

    We grind our costco coffee beans once a week and keep in a stainless steel airtight container. Then every morning it’s the typical change filter, put in water and measure coffee. I tried the kuerig at a friends house and would love one of my own. We have 3 kids and SURVIVE on coffee!

    Also, I make my coffee by using a coffee bean grinder my boyfriend got me for Christmas a couple years ago. Then I just brew it as normal in my Mr. Coffee. However, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this Keurig! I have heard/seen a lot about them!

    Me me me!!! As soon as I get up I make my coffee ( in my gevaila coffee pot, which by the way I was pretty impressed with ) and I drink a whole pot ( 12 cups ) myself, hehe. I LOVE coffee!! I used to drink my coffee black until about a month ago, my gramma who was the same way was like hey I started putting creamer in mine and really like it then sent me home a bag to try it ( dang it! ) and now I’m completely addicted and can only have french vanilla liquid coffeemate creamer in my coffee, LOVE it!! I have been to Starbucks once or twice in my life, weird right? When I’m on the go, I like my plain ole gas station coffee, lol.

    I start my morning with my single pot coffee maker, the senseo. I do a breakfast blend with a mixture of sweetbuttercream and french vanilla International delight creamers. In the afternoon I do the same or treat myself to a starbucks grande caramel frapp. light.

    We usually makes two pots of coffee a day….one for my husband to take to work and then one when I get up. My sister has one of these and raves about it so I would love to try it out for our family!

    I wake up and walk straight to the coffee pot and start it, watch it brew and than make very STRONG COFFEE! Mix in some sweet n low, buttercream creamer and drink 2 full cups! I love my coffee!

    I have a regular old pot for coffee. My husband gets Mocha’s from Starbucks since we can’t make anything too special at home. We have 8 month old twins so we haven’t splurged much recently.

    I’m not a daily coffee drinker, though I have noticed my use creeping up lately….

    I make my coffee in a super small French Press, one cup at a time. It is really handy because it takes up almost no space in my crowded kitchen, but I could make room for this baby!

    I am 6 months pregnant so no coffee now but before I would occassionaly hit Starbucks but being so expensive I didn’t go often. It would be great to have an option at the house that made something other than “black”, especially when a newborn arrives.
