AnnMarie says I”ve tried this coffee before at my friend’s house and it was excellent. Ever since, I have wanted this coffee maker, but something else always comes up. I love flavored coffees but my husband doesn’t. How awesome it would be to own something like this!!!!!

I recently got the chance to check out the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System and Keurig was kind enough to give a brewing system to one lucky MFA reader.

I had heard so many raves about the Keurig machines that I couldn’t wait to check it out.   I happen to love coffee.  I am one of those people that sings the Folger’s song every morning..“the best part of waking up..is coffee in my cup!” And I have had a Tassimo machine for awhile which I adore.

Now I am not going to tell you that these coffeemakers are frugal.  This Special Edition coffeemaker is currently $150 on Amazon.  You also need to buy the K-Cups which go on sale for $15 for 48 cups.

If you can fit this into your budget I have to tell you these machines just make wonderful cups of coffee.  I ran out of Tassimo disks a few weeks ago and went back to my regular old pot coffee and the difference was astounding.

For me the major advantage to the Tassimo is that you can make espresso beverages.  So I can make cappuccinos, Chai Lattes, Caramel Macchiatos etc.. in addition to regular coffee and teas.

But what I noticed about the Keurig is that it is much sleeker looking on the counter.  Also it seems to me that the Keurig K-cups are much less expensive than the Tassimo Disks.  I think for those that just love really good coffee or tea the Keurig is a great answer. One other advantage to the Keurig is that you can buy the reusable filter and grind and brew your own coffee- which might be a little less expensive.

One other thing I just love about these machines is how neat and clean they are.  I have to refill the water about once a week (more for the Tassimo) and then just pop the cartridge in and done!  For some reason actually brewing a pot of coffee always used to seem like such a massive production first thing in the morning.

    I love my coffee! my husband makes it every day and I swear when he is out of town, I am at a loss! I bought this machine for my sister as a christmas gift and she *loves* it – I would love to give this to my husbad to make his life a little easier every day (and enjoy my coffee.. mmm!!)

    We have just started drinking coffee every morning. It’s not really about the caffeine (we often drink decafe) but the delicious creamy hot drink. It’s a special treat to make getting out of bed more bearable!

    I have the Tassimo machine and love it. I usually start my day with either Gevalia’s Signature Crema coffee or a Tazo Chai!

    I use a French press to make coffee in the morning. I just switched to decaf after a long “step down” process. It felt like I was trying to quit smoking! 🙂 But I miss all the flavors so I have started using Coffeemate and my fav is Belgian Chocolate Toffee. Yummmmmyyy!!!

    My husband LOVES coffee so I make him a cup every morning before he goes to work. It saves a lot of money compared to buying premium coffee at a coffee shop.

    I just have a regular 12 cup brewer that I use. Would LOVE to have this baby sitting on my counter since I am the only one who drinks coffee.

    I use Its A Grind Vanilla nut coffee beans and use a Cuisinart coffee maker. I also have an espresso machine and will make a vanilla latte or a soy Chai in the afternoon. I LOVE COFFEE and would love to try this machine!!!!!!!!!!!!

    While I am not a coffee drinker I LOVE hot tea and hot cocoa!! I have had a couple different flavors of their teas and have liked them all. We have actually been looking at a Keurig for a while now but can’t see justifying the price when the hot water kettle and traditional coffee pot work fine. This would be awesome though because then we could declutter the counter!

    We have coffee from our Krups machine- my mom works for Hershey and gets free Starbucks coffee beans- so I grind them. MMMM. Can’t forget the international delights creamer. i am on a coconut creme addiction right now.

    I love love coffee. I used to go to Starbucks every morning and the barista knows what I want. Tall non-fat up side down caramel macchioto. Now that we are being frugal like u, I make my own coffee three time a week by using a little expresso stove top maker with my favorite hazelnut cream and some milk. Sometime when I need an little extra pick me upper I use add a scope of vanilla ice cream if we have some on hand. yummmo!!

    My hubby and I have a SENSEO that I was asked to try out, but I wish it had more range like the others. We are followers of Dave Ramsey, so no unnecessary spending right now… this would be amazing to have. I also use a small five cup coffee maker. I love coffee in the morning to get me up and going and like a cappachino when the little one is napping. Thanks for the offer! Good luck everyone!

    I drink mine black maybe with a half of a packet of some kind of sweetener unless it is starbucks day in which i am all about the double tall skim white mocha.

    I use a drip coffee maker. I have wanted to get one of these machines ever since they came out with the reusable filter. That way I can still use my Dunkin Donuts ground coffee.

    What, you ask, gets me out of bed in the morning? Simple: coffee. My beautiful coffee mug full of hot coffee. Something about hugging my hands around the mug, smelling the aroma, sipping the liquid gold… I would LOVE to upgrade my Mr.Coffee drip coffee pot for the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System!!
