The winner was AnnMarie via comment contest random selection. If I do not hear from her by Sunday I will select an alternate winner.
AnnMarie says I”ve tried this coffee before at my friend’s house and it was excellent. Ever since, I have wanted this coffee maker, but something else always comes up. I love flavored coffees but my husband doesn’t. How awesome it would be to own something like this!!!!!
I have a fantastic giveaway in honor of Mother’s Day and I can’t wait to see who wins this baby!
I recently got the chance to check out the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System and Keurig was kind enough to give a brewing system to one lucky MFA reader.
I had heard so many raves about the Keurig machines that I couldn’t wait to check it out. I happen to love coffee. I am one of those people that sings the Folger’s song every morning..“the best part of waking up..is coffee in my cup!” And I have had a Tassimo machine for awhile which I adore.
Now I am not going to tell you that these coffeemakers are frugal. This Special Edition coffeemaker is currently $150 on Amazon. You also need to buy the K-Cups which go on sale for $15 for 48 cups.
If you can fit this into your budget I have to tell you these machines just make wonderful cups of coffee. I ran out of Tassimo disks a few weeks ago and went back to my regular old pot coffee and the difference was astounding.
For me the major advantage to the Tassimo is that you can make espresso beverages. So I can make cappuccinos, Chai Lattes, Caramel Macchiatos etc.. in addition to regular coffee and teas.
But what I noticed about the Keurig is that it is much sleeker looking on the counter. Also it seems to me that the Keurig K-cups are much less expensive than the Tassimo Disks. I think for those that just love really good coffee or tea the Keurig is a great answer. One other advantage to the Keurig is that you can buy the reusable filter and grind and brew your own coffee- which might be a little less expensive.
One other thing I just love about these machines is how neat and clean they are. I have to refill the water about once a week (more for the Tassimo) and then just pop the cartridge in and done! For some reason actually brewing a pot of coffee always used to seem like such a massive production first thing in the morning.

So here is your chance to get your hands on this awesome machine!

I set the coffeemaker the night before and wake up to hot coffee. Drink the pot dry. Would put it in intraveneously if I could!!! 🙂
I just brew a pot in the morning and drink it in mass qualities with sweet n low and a shot of chocolate milk. Yep, I could use an upgrade 😉
I start my day brewing a cup of Trader Joe’s whole beans. I prefer their organic sumatra. My current machine is a Capresso which grinds the beans right before brewing. I also hit Starbucks at least 2 – 3 times a week for my afternoon fix with a latte or another coffee.
I just tweeted the contest @emilylanmoore
I start my day with fresh brewed coffee from my Krups coffee maker. I would love to win a Keurig!!

We have always Mr. Coffee pot, and since we don’t upgrade, we don’t complain. It works and makes our coffee every morning. We usually do coffee that is on sale (Folgers or Maxwell House) but love to treat ourselves here and there with whole beans.
I start the day brewing my favorite coconut caramel crunch from Kauai Coffee Co in my sister’s hand-me-down Gevalia coffee maker. I am very cranky without my morning cup of fru-fru! My afternoons are all about tea.
I start everyday with a cup of regular ground coffee. I set it up the night before so I can just turn it on. I love my coffee…
I am addicted to coffee. I am actually a barista in the mornings, so I start my day off making my coffee at work! I work 5am – 9am in the mornings and then come home and take care of my 2 year old. So coffee is a very important part of my day!
I have an older machine that I have had for years, takes about a half an hour for it to brew a pot, for me to get my first cup. It doesn’t have an auto shut off, or one of the doo hickeys so I can pour a cup while its brewing the rest of the pot.
I tweeted about this too!
I love coffee!! This looks wonderful!

I make a nice full pot of Dunkin Donuts every am! Then on Fridays for a treat I go to Dunky’s for a coolata or iced coffee!!
Currently we use a bodum press for our morning coffee. We have gone to using that because my hubby was drinking WAY to much coffee in the morning! It makes an amazing cup of coffee!
I posted on my FB page
Great giveaway! We set up our coffee pot the night before. 4:30 am comes quick and if we don’t do that, then we always forget and don’t have time before heading to work. We NEED our coffee in the morning. (0=
We just have a basic coffee maker with timer. I have always wanted one of these!
I love my Keurig, and I have a daughter getting married this summer. I would love to give her one!
I usually brew Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in my standard Hamilton Beach coffeemaker. Then, I add International Delights “Skinny Caramel Macchiato” or “Skinny Vanilla Latte” liquid creamer. It’s cheap and gets me throught my day, but I sure would love to try out that Keurig machine…anways, good luck to everyone!
I start every day (and afternoon, evening, ect.) with a fresh cup from my KEURIG! I would love to give my mom one for her house (not just for her, but for when I’m visiting too) It’s a great saver since I don’t stop at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts anymore!
I tweeted! JNethon
We don’t really have a coffee making ritual but I love tea!
I am addicted to coffee. I am actually a barista in the mornings, so I start my day off making my coffee at work! I work 5am – 9am in the mornings and then come home and take care of my 2 year old. So coffee is a very important part of my day!
Speedway makes my coffee! 😀 I have a 20 oz mixed cup 1/3 SF vanilla cap, 1/3 FF vanilla cap, & 1/3 columbian roast or house blend. I am very picky!!
I make a cup of green tea every morning. If I need a cup of coffee I use my french press. 🙂
I have a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. I usually use Maxwell house but I love it when Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts coffee is on sale. As for my coffee making routine, it is sad. I will make coffee when I get up and make the boys their breakfasts. It will finish brewing but I will wait to have my cup until I get my littlest one situated. Sometimes this takes a while and at least 3 times a week, by the time I go to get my first cup, the coffee machine has already turned itself off. Almost every day I think of how nice it would be to just be able to make one cup at time, when I wanted it.
I brew my own Starbucks, froth some heated-in-the-microwave skim milk, and have a cheap skinny latte or two. Sometimes a sprinkle of cinnamon—I hear it has antioxidants!
I start the day with my coffee pot programmed to brew. I grind my own starbucks beans to save money and cups from buying one everyday. Would love to try this new machine
My parents have one of these and I love it. I would really love to have one of my own. I make my coffee in a plain ol’ coffee maker every morning. It would be nice not to have to clean up the mess every morning.
I have a Phillips Senseo single cup machine I use daily. It’s served me well in the past 2 1/2 years I’ve had it, but it doesn’t produce full cups anymore (coffee volume keeps decreasing). Since my Senseo is on its last leg, I’m researching other single cup machines and am very interested in the Keurig. I’ve been impressed with what I’ve read about them so far and would love to own one!
I start every morning with a cup of coffee from my Keurig. Before I purchased the Keurig last year, I brewed a pot every morning in my grind and brew. Let me tell you how much easier the Keurig is! I love it. And I would love to win one for my Grandmother who loves mine but can’t afford her own. It would be a great mother’s day present for her.
I used to go to Starbucks every morning on my way to work but being a stay at home mama has turned me into a make it at home mama, too! I prefer Starbucks or Dunkin coffee to brew at home in my cheapo tiny Mr Coffee but I like most decent types.
I make a full pot of coffee in the mornings, and my husband fills the green stanley thermos we have and takes it to work, leaving me with about a cup of coffee left…
My husband loves coffee and is very fussy about his coffee. This would be great for him
I LOVE coffee ~ any kind, any time, any where! I have wanted a Keurig machine for almost a year now. I work in an elementary school and our counselor brought her Keurig to work for us to use during special occasions. I fell in love with it and I have looked into buying one, but haven’t been able to catch one on sale at a price that fits in our budget.
I love it with lots of cream!!
Nancy M. and I have the same routine (LOL!). I brew Maxwell house coffe (Dunkin Donuts when it’s on sale) in a second hand Mr. Coffee coffemaker. It then takes 15 – 20 minutes (on most days) before I can sit down and enjoy my lukewarm coffee. It really would be wonderful to be able to make a quick hot cup of coffee.
My day starts with a pot of Folgers, the smell of it brewing never fails to remind me of my grandma, it was the only coffee she would drink, lol!
I use a 4 cup pot w/ whatever coffee I can get cheap. Right now I am using Archer Farms coffee that I bought after Christmas for $1.24 for 10oz of coffee. I’m frugal what can I say.
I make it in a Keurig with frugally purchased creamer!
Ok, so it keeps telling me my message is too short, so let’s hope this one is long enough- I tweeted!
and I reposted on Facebook!
I start the day with Folgers gourmet. Then when I am out and about, I have a favorite drive-up coffee kiosk that makes me my special double shot skinny latte, with sugar free caramel, white chocolate and hazelnut. It’s the best, but a little on the spendy side, so this coffee maker might help me save a few bucks!
I brew a pot of coffee in the morning. Right now I am into Dunkin Donuts coffee! Usually that is all I drink unless later in the evening with dessert or friends!
I’m not the coffee drinker in my family, my hubby enjoys it with the usual coffee pot system, although he never can finish the pot usually having just one cup or so. With the Keurig he could just make one cup! And it would be a delicious one! I would enjoy the tea or cocoa though. This is a great giveaway, so i shared it via facebook with my friends! They love the deals I share with them from you! Thank you!
