thomas the train tidmouth

The winner is:

Cindy says My grandson would love this toy and I need some big boy toys at my house now that he will be turning 2 in August. I enjoy quiet time in my sunroom in the morning with a good cup of coffee, but am now looking forward to spending some time on the porch at the lake this summer. Thanks for the opportunity.

I got a chance to check out a few new toys from the Fisher Price spring line and I am very happy that Fisher Price agreed to give one of each toy to you guys!  So I will have 4 giveaways over the next four days.  Then I have a few things for mom coming as well that you will love!

So the first is this Thomas the Train Take Along Tidmouth Shed.  As you guys know, Thomas is a very popular guy around our house so this was by far my little girl’s favorite toy.  Interestingly, my 1 year old is pretty taken with Thomas as well.

These take along toys are fun because they fold right up and have a little handle so your child can tote them very easily from place to place.  One of the things that I liked best about this toy is that it literally unfolds right out of the box- there is no assembly and no little pieces to get lost (or eaten!)

The Tidmouth Shed comes with one Thomas the Train- you can buy other take n play engine cars and they will all attach via magnet to each other.

This little track will also extend to the other Take n Play toys so you can make it as big as you like.  The retail value is $30 and it can be purchased from Fisher Price HERE.

You can see some of the other Take Along toys from Amazon HERE.

When we first opened Thomas I thought- uh oh.  This might be the only thing in our house that doesn’t light up or make noises so I was thinking it might not hold their attention for very long.  Wrong!  Both of my girls played with this for quite awhile and I have to say it was incredibly pleasant to have a little peace and quiet!

thomas the trainSo if you have a Thomas fan in your house, you can enter to win a Tidmouth Shed for your little one.

Just leave a comment below letting me know what you would do to enjoy a few minutes of quiet time in your house!  I was quite happy to make dinner in peace and quiet while the girls took Thomas out for a few spins.  I actually read a recipe all the way through and didn’t have to listen to whirling or ringing or singing songs the entire time which was just lovely.

I will select a winner on Saturday at 10am. If you are viewing this in a reader or email you need to click through to the blog to submit your comment.  I am very sorry but due to my personal time constraints any entries via Facebook, Twitter or email will not count.

GOOD LUCK!!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post in any way and all opinions expressed are my own.  We did receive a sample Thomas for review.

A moment of quiet in my house… not sure I would know what to do.. I would love to have some time to organize my coupons… cook dinner… send emails… get caught up on laundry… the list could go on and on…

My son loves Thomas! This would be heaven! With some peace and quiet I would probably finish reading the book I am borrowing from the library “The Happiest Toddler on the Block.” I am trying to figure out how to deal with my aggressive toddler! I think this Thomas set would be very valuable in my quest! 😉

My daughter loves trains! And Thomas is her favorite. I would love some quiet time to get caught up on cleaning around the house before company comes in a few weeks!

I would love the quiet time to put away winter clothes and get out some spring/summer clothes. Even though it’s still “wintry” here, I have hopes of warm days ahead.

My daughter loves trains! She goes crazy everytime we go to Barnes and Nobles and she can play with the train set there. If she had a train set to play with at home I may be able to use the restroom without her barging in and helping:)

Oh, this would be perfect for my 3 year old! He has a few of the Take Along engines, but no track. This would be a perfect quiet toy to keep him occupied while I’m helping my daughter with homework. Great Giveaway!

Ahhh what I would do with a few minutes of quiet time! I think I’d try to read a few pages of Breaking Dawn. It’s my guilty pleasure and it seems to be taking me forever to get through it! Hopefully I’ll have it read by the time the movie comes out. 🙂

I would love to win this! I have 4 kids under the age of 8, so peace and quiet is hard to come by. But if I had some I think I would use it to read through recipes, as I am always looking for new and exciting things to serve at our dinner table!

I just want a little time to fold the clothes without a little person taking clean clothes out of the basket so they can get into the basket.

My 15 month old son would LOVE this! He is starting to say “cho” and carries his thomas around and sleeps with him! I too have a long list of things that I could do while he is playing:Laundry, dishes, preparing dinner and mopping to start! Those are the tasks he LOVES to interrupt =). Thomas will help him “keep entertained”

With a 2 year old and 1 year old and a husband that works 12 hour rotating shifts weeks on end before a day off. When I get a minute of quiet time, I get online and do coupons and read through my frugal adventures! By the time I get online all the good coupons are usually gone. But its still nice to catch up for the day.

When there is a moment of quietness and the house doesn’t seem “completely” unorganized, I like to sit down and enjoy a book. No harm done in mom taking a few minutes out for herself to relax and and take a break from the kids, house, ect…ect….Both my boys LOVE Thomas-so maybe with a new toy I could finally finish reading The Lost Symbol! 🙂

  26. Anne says

    04/29/2010 at 8:23 AM

Oh my son loves Thomas! I could use the time to clean up my stockpile, even cutting back what I buy seems hard to keep organized!

My two boys would love this…and I’d love the peace and quiet! I’d use the time to file some coupons or work away the out-of-control pile of paperwork I have on my counter! Thanks for the chance to win!

  29. Maria says

Making dinner usually isn’t a problem because I get my little girl to help with that. But clean up is always an issue. I would love to clean up dinner in peace.

Quiet? What is quiet? I have to boys under 4 and quiet is a rarity at our house. So if I had some quiet time I would probably just sit back and enjoy it for the minutes it lasted 🙂 I would love this set!!!

My 2 1/2 year old son would adore this. And it would probably give me a few minutes of peace and quiet to finish a couple of pages in his baby scrapbook. I am so behind with it since he keeps me so busy!

  39. Amy says

    04/29/2010 at 8:50 AM

I would probably spend some time on the computer if I had some quiet time in the house… that or clean up all of the messes left for me throughout the day!

Oh, what I wouldn’t do with a few minutes to myself! My little girl is 18 months old and she is in that stage where she wants to do whatever mommy does! Including coupons! lol, she also loves Thomas the train!

  44. Whitney says

I love to let my son play in the backyard while I make dinner. We have a large window in our kitchen with a perfect view to his play area. It gives me a little peace while I concentrate on whats being made. Also, I store all of his trains in a secret area and bring them out when mommy needs a minute. He like Geo Trax, Chuggington, and Thomas. Its so much better than throwing him in front of the TV!

i just quit work (i was an attorney) to be home with my child, so i would use the extra time for professional development.

If my two sons (ages 3 and 2) received this giveaway quite honestly I would probably get on the floor and play along with them! We love reading Thomas books, watching the videos, and playing with our other trains, so a quiet toy would even intrigue me to play and not find me running the other direction! 🙂

  47. Janelle says

    04/29/2010 at 9:01 AM

I would love a quite momment to myself! But most of all I would love to watch my litle girl play with the train set. Like your little girls mine LOVES Thomas but we dont have any Thomas trains toys. So i may just watch her play with it for a quite momment! While maybe looking at one of the many magazines I dont get time to read!! But I wouldnt want to miss her face as she plays with it!

Thomas is definitely a hit around our house! If I had a few extra minutes, I’d call some college friends that live elsewhere in the country and catch up for a few minutes.

My little boy would flip if he got this! I would use the quiet time to do the fold the clothes in peace hehe My kiddos are very “helpful” and sometimes it would be nice just to get the job done fast, esp if the day has been a little rough.

my boy would love this…almost as much as I would enjoy the peace and quiet! (:
