Welcome to homeschooling parents! Yikes. I am typing this in my formerly quiet and organized home office as I have one child listening to a lecture on viruses for science and the other working on a T-Chart with pros and cons of using plastic water bottles. This is a rare moment of peace when they aren’t bickering, fighting over headphones, laying on the floor and so on… The office has turned into a war zone with papers and snacks and blankets, books, a trombone… Not the most productive workplace.
Who knew kids asked so.many.questions. And made so many little noises. I am so grateful though that our school has long lists of assignments for the kids every day and they are doing their best to keep them engaged and learning.
I usually post Summer Bridge workbooks before summer vacation but I thought I’d post a reminder that there are tons of grade and subject specific workbooks available for roughly $5-10 each. If you need extra work for the kids or perhaps your school hasn’t started distance learning quite yet, you might take a look at these.
In the coming weeks we should start seeing the 2020 Summer Bridge workbooks released which are wonderful grade specific resources with most subjects tucked into one book. As of right now it looks like they haven’t been released and most of the 2019 workbooks are sold out. There are lots of other options available though- especially for the younger kids.
Happy homeschooling!
