I have a few ideas for stocking stuffers that might work for your children this year. I always try to find some larger items that take up a lot of space to fill those darn things up.
Mad Matter: this is a great alternative to slime. It is a soft clay that children can shape, squeeze, mold etc… This is a fun alternative to Playdoh or putty or slime.
Dylan’s Candy Bar: This is such a fun idea for a gift for kids. All the treats are brightly packaged and fun and I have only seen these in Target briefly for Valentine’s Day and now for Christmas. There are little paint cans, fun chocolate bars and I love these tackle boxes of candy. If you have kids that want to get a gift for friends, this could be a great option!
Power Banks: These are great gifts for kids with any sort of devices. These portable chargers are super handy. My little girl is getting the ducky this year because she brings her Kindle when we travel and to big sister’s soccer and softball tournaments and often the battery runs low. As an added bonus this will keep her little paws off mine- which she tends to take on exactly the day I need it. 😉 (For older kids, check out the styles here.)
Kaleidoscope Pencils : These are so fun and pretty! You can find tons of other interesting art supplies from this company by clicking here.
Poo Pouri: This is a joke obviously and not something I ever would have thought of. It was recently gifted to a certain 11 year old at a party we attended and the kids thought it was hilarious. If you have children that find potty jokes hilarious, this could be a fun and silly stocking idea.
Novelty Socks: Socks are fun- I think these Fortnight ones are really cute. Click here for tons more options.
OPI Nutcracker and the Four Realms Polishes: I love these polishes in this special edition to celebrate the holiday movie. On sale right now, buy 2 get 1 free and use code 645896 for an extra $5 off.
Book Light: These are great and very practical for kids that like to read at bed time. Also wonderful for travel.
Thinking Putty: I mentioned this in the holiday gift guide but it also works well for stockings. Thinking putty is a great alternative to slime and comes in a handy little tin case. You can see more options here.
Play Tape : This is fun for little ones that love race cars. My daughter went through a major race car phase and she would have loved this.
Soap and Glory: These are fun bath and skincare products for older girls. I actually want several of these items myself.
Slippers: Slippers are a big item that fill up lots of space and I think they look really cute poking out of the top. Check out all the options from Old Navy. I am having a hard time picking which ones I like best. I like this moccasin style because my girls will actually wear these out for quick errands and such and they have a proper sole so they work.
Gift Cards: I know boring… but kids will love these! We get gift cards for iTunes on occasion and I think it is really fun to get a gift card to a favorite restaurant or treat store. My 11 year old loves Subway and In and Out and we don’t usually get fast food for dinner so I picked up a $20 gift card and left a little note that she gets to use it for dinner one night. You can get a cute free printable gift card holder here.
PS: If you have a Target Red Card, they are offering 5% off select gift cards this week.
I hope some of these ideas inspired you to make the stockings great this year!
