Goodness y’all Father’s Day is just TEN days away! What? I just placed my order for Father’s Day for my husband and I better get it in gear for my FIL and my Daddy.
Father’s Day is SO hard for me. Three men to shop for, one of which buys himself whatever it is he wants and two of which never buy anything so basically three men that don’t want anything and don’t need anything. (insert eye roll)
But that doesn’t stop me from trying to find a perfect gift for the important and special men in my life and I thought you might need some help shopping as well.
Here are a bunch of ideas I put together- I tried to think of things Dad would like that were practical and something they might not necessarily buy for themselves. So ready? Here goes!
This one looks awesome and is on sale as of posting. Monitors heart rate, maps running routes, tracks pace, steps, has an alarm. This thing looks cool and syncs wirelessly to your phone. If Dad is into health and fitness, this new book Age Proof is something I picked up for my own Dad.
Love these glasses! My Dad totally rocks and I bet yours does too. If you decide to pick these up, you might consider tthese Whiskey Rocks to go with it.
Music really does sound better on a turntable. My Dad bought one of these for himself a few years ago and he loves getting new records. Very cool especially for an office or entertaining space.
Does Dad love Bourbon or Scotch? Try these Bourbon and Single Malt candies. Something fun and different.
I got these for my husband last year and promptly went out to get myself a pair. These are fantastic for travel or if Dad works at home and the kids are noisy or for the gym. I really like the around the ear style and the wireless style for the gym. A bit more expensive but I literally use them almost every day.
Does Dad love coffee? How about a new coffee maker or coffee grinder?
Fun and very inexpensive. These come in several different superhero styles.
Completely random I know, but if Dad likes sweets Jeni’s is the best ice cream I have ever had. The cartons are like $10 at my local Whole Foods (which I thought was crazy) and then I tasted Jeni’s at a scoop shop and I was like ohhh… Yes! Give me all the ice cream! There are so many fun and unique flavors- we tried some crazy flavors that I thought would be terrible and that turned out to be really amazing. My Dad loves ice cream and one year I got him a big box of assorted flavors and that was a hit.
Now this is super handy and I am thinking about it for my own Dad or maybe my hubs. My Dad just bought a boat and I am thinking something like this might be cool for when they spend long weekends on the lake. If your husband is a tailgater or sports guy or camper this might be perfect. Our girls play in soccer tournaments that require very long days sitting and waiting and I am thinking a grill might be fun.
I have heard such good things about these speakers. This one is waterproof so it might be nice on boats or by the pool. My husband would love something like this in his workshop…
Again completely random but an idea for those of us in warm weather climates. And it is kind of weird because you have to say Happy Father’sDay- here’s a project for the honey do list. Lol. I did get a misting system for my own Dad about 2 years ago to install on his deck and it was really nice for summer. Considering getting this for our pergola this year. My husband loves watching sports outside in summer.
Is Dad a golfer? Consider one of these hitting nets for him to practice his swing at home. My Father in Law is a serious golf guy and he recommended one of these when I asked what golf items he has received over the years that aren’t total junk. 😉 Also my FIL suggested this could be something fun for my husband to do with our girls- he is pretty determined to see them play the LPGA. Ha!
Is Dad sporty? Work outside? Hike, camp, bike, boat, spend the entire day at soccer tournaments? If you haven’t splurged on one of these water bottles, please treat yourself. There are a few brands- Hydroflask is a great one- and they really do keep water cold or drinks hot for hours and hours. I can leave my water bottle in the car on a 100 degree day for hours and the water is still cool. Worth every penny over the normal plastic water bottles.
Well you know I had to include a clothing item for Father’s Day. Boring and predictable but my husband would still be wearing his jeans from high school if it wasn’t for holiday clothing gifts. I usually splurge on really nice Dry Fit polos or golf shorts or pullovers or sports jerseys for Father’s Day. He can wear his Class of ’93 t-shirt to mow the lawn and pull out the spiffy polos and shorts for date night and summer parties.
Smoker —
Does Dad love to BBQ? What about picking up one of these smokers for a change of pace? As of posting this guy is on sale!
Again boring and predictable I know but nicer slip ons or flip flops for summer are always a practical gift. I am partial to Sperry but there are tons of styles to choose from.
And if you want to add the homemade touch to your Father’s Day gifts, this free printable card is very cute. Comes in Dad version and Grandpa version.
And this little DIY children’s art keychain is simple and practical:
And this little idea for Grandpa is always a hit- homemade peanut brittle- super easy to make!
