Y’all I love Halloween. The kids have so much fun and trick or treating and the excitement is contagious. We get together with friends and hit the entire neighborhood basically until their little legs collapse or the buckets get too heavy. Ha!
Last year we finished up trick or treating, the lengthly review of the haul and negotiations between the kids, wrestled our children into the shower and then finally sent them off to bed. We turned off all the lights, closed the blinds and made it obvious that Halloween had come to an end in our home. Yeah not so much. The doorbell kept ringing. The older kids in the neighborhood were still out and every time the doorbell would ring, our dog went crazy, our little kids were woken up and by 10pm we really had it.
So this year I am upping my Halloween game and created this little printable for you to have on hand to make it clear when Halloween has ended at your house. Just tape this sign up on the front door to let the kids know you are out of candy (or out of patience giving out candy – ha!) and hopefully you can enjoy sneaking into your own child’s candy in peace.
