Goodness you guys. I feel like 2016 is just racing past. It is already April which means Summer vacation will be here in like 5 minutes and I better kick it into gear so I am ready 🙂 I have so many little projects that I am working on and I best get them wrapped up so I am ready for 2 little ones underfoot all day starting in just a few weeks. How about your family? Do you have the kiddos in day care for summer or do they come home with you? I am fortunate to work from home but I have a few friends that juggle day care and babysitters and summer camps and all sorts of ways to make it happen with full time jobs and kids out of school.
So how are you really doing 3 months into the year? Did you set goals this year or resolutions? Sticking to them or meh?
How is the weather for you these days? Spring is always so crazy. Here in CA the sun is officially out and warming up and we have had a few 80 degree days. Can you believe the kids have already been in the pool this year? It isn’t heated so that didn’t last long 🙂
As always I thought I’d share a few of my favorites from March. Just random things I loved and maybe you will as well.
The first is this Noosa yogurt. Goodness this is good! My favorite is the coconut and the lemon flavors and I have been inhaling them in the morning with a little sprinkle of granola.
Really the coconut flavor is good enough to be a dessert- so creamy with real coconut. Absolutely delicious.
And I won’t bore you guys with mentioning the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up again but I have officially turned into a person that paints closets. I used to think those people were lame and needed to get a hobby 😀 I take it back fellow closet painters! I blame pinterest really but this linen closet I used to hate. It was a dingy white and stuffed full of junk. I tidied like crazy and painted the back blue and the shelves a crisp white. I absolutely love how it turned out and look at all the space! (I tossed all our old towels and grabbed a few new ones at Target. I am just waiting until Sunday to grab a few more when they will be on sale.)
So a little motivation to spend the extra time on whatever little project you have as it is worth it in the end. I open this closet several times a day and now it makes me smile instead of grimace.
And if you need a dress for Mother’s Day or any Spring/Summer weddings I have two dresses I love these days.
I decided to think about what I might wear on Easter Sunday on … cough…Saturday night. I raced out to Nordstrom and someone bought every single dress in my size from the entire store. LOL. I wound up grabbing this little purple situation one size too big but I still love it. It has pockets and was so comfortable and flattering. Love it.
I also tried on this pink Eliza J dress. It is gorgeous! They only had it two sizes too big for me but I ordered it online to have shipped to me. I love how simple and feminine it is and it has pockets which is my new favorite thing for dresses.
And I have found I am a bit obsessed with True Crime stuff lately. Anyone else a Law & Order SVU fan or Rizzoli and Isles or Castle? I love them all!
What about Serial? Did you get into that podcast last year? I loved Serial (still do) and even listened to the spin off Undisclosed. Here are a few other podcasts I have found to fill the void between Serial episodes:
Breakdown Podcast // Rad Parenting Podcast // Real Crime Profile Podcast
I love listening to these in the car and when I am cooking and cleaning.
Anyone have other awesome podcast recommendations? Do share!
So that is about it for March. I hope you Spring is treating you well and look forward to seeing you again in April!
