Peppermint Cooling Spray

Peppermint Cooling Spray

I have been spritzing myself with this yummy spray all summer and I don’t know why I haven’t posted it sooner.

If you want something super simple and very refreshing for the end of summer, I have a cooling spray you might want to check out.

This is two simple ingredients and it provides a fine mist of cool water that is refreshing plus a faint smell of peppermint, which I find so invigorating.  I love this stuff and keep it in the car at all times.

To make this spray simply purchase a glass or stainless steel spritzing bottle. I have a 4 oz size bottle pictured.

  • Fill the bottle 3/4 of the way up with distilled water.
  • Add 8-10 drops of pure Peppermint Essential Oil (I use Young Living brand)

Shake and spritz!

So simple and as I mentioned, I find it really invigorating and refreshing.  I spritz this in the car for a quick air freshening or when it is hot.  We pack this up for trips to the pool, beach and the park.  The girls’ also like to grab this spray for soccer practice and I know for sure I will tuck it into our luggage for an upcoming trip to Universal Studios in Florida.

The spray that I have does not have a super strong scent and leaves no residue or stickiness.  I actually spritz this right on my face and neck and shoulders but obviously you want to be careful of the eyes.

Really the only trick to making this spray is please be sure to use a high quality therapeutic grade essential oil.  I have smelled the oils from the grocery store and whatnot and they smell synthetic to me and perfumey and not the crisp, clean, refreshing scent you get from a really good quality oil.

Now spritz away and I hope you enjoy these spray as much as I do!
