Tomorrow is Amazon Prime Day and they released a sneak peak of some of the deals. I mentioned this promotion a few days ago and so far I don’t know exactly what will be included but they are supposed to have tons and tons of items at the lowest prices of the entire year. Amazon does massive promotions before Christmas so that is really saying quite a bit.
You do have to be a Prime Member to access the sale but you can get a free 30 day Prime trial here! I would suggest signing up now so you can be ready tomorrow.
Amazon is offering massive deals in an effort to get more people into Prime memberships. I am not 100% sure the free membership will be valid for the deals but it is worth a shot if you don’t want to sign up for Prime.
I have Prime and pay for it each year and I love it! In a nutshell, Prime offers free shipping on every order regardless of price. This sometimes excludes some 3rd party merchants but the majority of what you order ships in 2 days free.
To give you an example we ran out of dish soap last week and I ordered Cascade from Amazon for $11 and it was here faster than I would have made it to the store. Just yesterday I got a book from my daughter’s school supply list for $3 from Amazon and you guessed it- the $3 book shipped free and was here in 2 days. I ordered a special nail polish I love just last week for $6 (half the price I would pay at a store) and boom! In my mailbox in a flash. If you are a busy person, Prime is such a lifesaver! You will pay $99 a year for the service but in addition to the free shipping, you can get Kindle books for free, free movie rentals and so much more.
The sales start at midnight PST on July 15th and will be refreshed as often as every 10 minutes.
There are three options for Prime membership-
The first is to sign up for Amazom Mom which is $99 and has Prime included. This service gets you extra discounts on diapers and personal care items, 20% off subscribe and save items (instead of 15% off) and all the benefits associated with Amazon Prime. My kids are out of diapers but I occasionally need Pull Ups and occasionally need wipes so I signed up for Amazon Mom myself.
The second is the standard Amazon Prime membership located right here. If you do not have children or ever have a need for diapers and such, you probably want just the basic Amazon Prime also for $99.

I love having Prime. I am a HORRIBLE birthday gift procrastinator, so I love that can get something shipped to me (or my family) in just 2 days 🙂
I am not sure if I am too excited about Prime Day though. I am sure that quantities will be super limited (just like Black Friday deals), so unless I plan to sit on my phone most of the day I will likely miss anything I really want! Oh well 🙂
Michelle- I am worried about quantities too but Amazon is really pushing this promotion hard. They even have TV commercials which we don’t often see. I would assume if they planned to offer tons of items with ridiculous quantities they would have a ton of super pissed people. Don’t you think? I am hoping it isn’t like Black Friday when things are gone in 4 seconds. 🙂 Let’s cross our fingers.

They are promoting this heavily so my guess is we will see directions right on the homepage 🙂 Not sure how they plan to offer the deals- I would assume lightening deals for some stuff. Other things like Kindles and such might just be reduced in price or have coupon codes.
