Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I have a fun little free printable Valentine for you.
I have two little girls and what has been so interesting to me over the past few years is that the Valentine’s that don’t involve candy tend to be the ones they like the most. I usually watch to see what they like best in their little haul of treats and in the past bouncy balls, race cars and lip glosses and other little toys they seem to prefer over the candy. (And that is saying a lot because I would rather face a hungry Grizzly Bear in the woods than try to wrestle even one M&M away from my 5 year old. One could really get injured in that battle 😉
If you want to try and find an inexpensive and very simple Valentine’s Day idea, here is one that would suit either marbles or bouncy balls.
The great thing is that bouncy balls are gender neutral and they seem to work for a larger age group. You can find big bags of them for pretty cheap in the party supply section of stores like Walmart and Target.
I found these swirly balls and clear balls with glitter stars in 6 packs for $.97 at Walmart. I haven’t checked the Dollar Store but that could be another option.
Print out these little toppers (I actually sent them to Staples to be printed for $.50 per page) and then just grab a pack of 4 inch clear baggies. I got mine in the baking section of Walmart with the frosting tips and such – 25 bags for $1.50 or so. These are 4 inch in size and the bags were actually a bit longer so I simply cut them down to fit.
Next you can either tape or staple the toppers to the bag and you are done!
The back side has plenty of space to color a picture or write names– I actually added a little To and From after I took photos so your printable will have that on the back.
And overall these are fairly inexpensive– about $4 in balls for a class of 24, $3 to have the toppers professionally printed and then about $1.50 for the baggies.

I would love to do this for our valentines this year! Did you print them on regular printer paper or would something stronger like card stock work better?
Charlene says
Rebecca- you can certainly print on regular paper but a harder card stock does look nicer. Just not too thick of a card stock if you plan to fold the tag over. 🙂

These printed up beautifully at home. Thank you for the free resource!
