I wanted to mention a few suggestions for holiday books that you might want to grab this season. I love to read and it’s so fun to have a stack of Christmas books to read to the little ones.
I grabbed a few extras this year and I have found the prices to be excellent at Amazon- you can pick up some of these books for as low as $9 right now which is a big discount off the regular price.
We are all about traditions and this is a really fun one that doesn’t cost a lot. I actually have a basket designated for these books and the kids love to pull it out and choose a book to read each night.
Here is what ours looks like this year- I actually wrapped them up and then added numbers on them as sort of a book advent calendar. So the girls get to unwrap a gift each night and they are surprised by the book:
Here are a few of our favorites:
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss $9.45
- The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg $11.00
- The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore $11.55
- Llama Llama Holiday Drama by Anna Dewdney $14
- The Christmas Wish by Lori Evert $14
If you go ahead and order now, you should have plenty of time to read these during the holiday season.
I also spotted this fun event at Barnes and Noble. On December 5th at 7pm, they will have a special storytime and activity featuring The Polar Express. The story will be read along with some activities and it mentions the kids can come in their pjs!
I would definitely call first though to make sure your location is participating.
