So I have been posting all the Target deals each day- just to recap Target will be offering 50% off one toy per day via a Cartwheel coupon through 12/24. If you are not familiar with Cartwheel, you can find a ton of information right here.
You do need to shop in store and most likely you want to hit the store early so you don’t find empty shelves. If any of these items are on your gift list this year, I strongly recommend buying them now at these prices.
In addition to the 50% off Cartwheel coupon, if you have the Target toy book, there is an extra 25% off coupon that you can stack for a crazy good deal. Note the 25% off coupon expires Saturday.
Here are the projected items on the schedule for the next few days. I can not guarantee these will be the items until Target actually releases the coupons each morning. But I wanted to give you some advance notice so you can plan ahead- just be sure to double check in the morning in case I blew it 😉
*Please note before you get too excited that most stores seem to have VERY little inventory on these items. Really disappointing but please keep that in mind before you make arrangements to shop- you might find empty shelves. I think if I really wanted one of these toys, I might call my store just before close the night before and ask for the toy department and then ask someone to actually see if they have any of the items available. I would plan to get to the store very first thing if they did confirm that there is stock on hand. If they are already out of stock on the item the night before, they most likely won’t have any available the day the coupon is released.

Saturday November 8th: Our Generation 18in Doll $22. use 50% off Cartwheel and use 25% off toy book coupon= $8.25. *Note these are the non posable dolls. I don’t think the coupon will be for the $29 dolls that are posable but you might double check.
Sunday November 9th: Hot Wheels Turbo Takeover $34.99– projected price. Use 50% off Cartwheel $17.49.

Target so far does not carry the toy books i got mine in our Sunday paper. I work at target and they have said nothing about getting them. Also we don’t know which toys go on sale so that’s why we are not stocked in a lot.
Just so everyone knows target has changed their policy on this cartwheel offer. It is only in store, you cannot call and reserve, you can not order online and pick up in store, you cannot buy it early and return it to get the cartwheel and they are changing all future cartwheel offers since most of them have leaked. Today’s offer is a Monster High doll not the doll listed on here. Just a heads up.
Target must have found out about the leak or your source is wrong because today’s toy is a Monster High Doll, not the Our Generation Dolls.

This is not accurate, the toy of the day for today is not the generation dolls it’s some kinda mister high doll. Very disappointed i wasted time and extra long drive so early.

Hi CJ- it looks like Target may have changed their mind and switched the dolls to the Monster High instead. I am sure they are trying to address the issues of inventory they had with the other items on sale. This promotion is supposed to run until Dec 24th though so there is a good chance they may still offer the coupon :). We just have to wait and see!
Hi Sharon- as I mentioned in the post there were no guarantees. That was what was scheduled and now it has changed. I can’t say why they made the change unfortunately. I had a lot of really mean comments personally because people couldn’t get toys and inventory was low in stores so I can only imagine what Target had from the customers and the stores. There is still a great chance they will offer the 50% off dolls before Christmas but in the meantime, you can still get the $22 doll for $16.50 with the 25% off coupon. That is not bad at all 🙂
Hi Kailey- I think if you check the post again you will see I mentioned this is only a projection. I clearly stated you need to check each coupon as it is released. I am sorry you were disappointed but why didn’t you just check the coupon when you woke up? You could have gone back to bed when you saw that it had changed.
Becky-you just have to do the math before you checkout since they don’t allow you to use the coupons provide by target. I took 50% off, then 25% off, and my 5%. It ended up being around six dollars!
Hi Morgan- Goodness what an ugly comment! It was not my fault. Target has been struggling with inventory since the promotion started and as the other Target employee mentioned, people buying out the store before the sale starts, people taking the toys and hiding them in other locations and then people that behave terribly when they are unable to get what they want. (Ahem).
We don’t know the reason for the change and this is only the start of the promotion. They will have one toy for 50% off for 6 1/2 more weeks. That is a lot of time. Perhaps they just wanted to address the inventory situation and avoid nasty people by offering the doll on a later date when they have more stock.
Just to clarify the promotion is from Target and the early list was actually released by Target. I am sorry you missed your doll but I do think we are all people here and you can still go pick up a doll for $16 today. That is an $8 price difference which is something many people can probably fit into the budget and not a reason to treat other people badly.

Hi Elise- I think Target is trying to handle inventory situations actually. The list was from Target so they simply made a last minute change- probably because the other items this week did not go over well. People were extremely nasty about the Minnie doll specifically. Still plenty of time to get a doll- the 50% off sale runs through Dec 24th. Just keep checking 🙂
Yes Samantha it sounds like the first week of the promotion did not go over well for Target. I am glad to see they are actively trying to correct the issue- that is a good thing for everyone that found empty shelves this week. They still have 46 more toys that they will offer at 50% off. There is a really good chance the dolls will be offered later- in the meantime you can pick it up with the 25% off coupon today and pay $16.

Thanks Sharon. No I don’t think it was Target being mean and I didn’t get any notice from them. I really think they are just concerned that stores simply don’t have inventory to support the sale as evidenced earlier this week. I am sure they are trying to figure it out and since Our Generation is a Target brand I would be surprised if they didn’t offer them at 50% off at some point 😉

I was in Target last night and the shelves were bare where the Generation dolls are suppose to be. A worker said everyone was buying them yesterday to try to get their money back today. Just a heads up….it isn’t working that way. Also, whatever the 50% of toys were suppose to be from now on, they’re changing it all up since it leaked. So, we wont know until the day of what the toys will be…..bummer.
Yes Jenny, I am sure empty shelves before the coupon was even available is why they changed the promotion today. Such a shame but the great news is that this is an awesome deal so I am excited to see what other toys they have on sale in the coming weeks.
Todays deal must have been incorrect also for Sunday the 9th. I was excited and planning to run to Target for the Hot Wheels toy this morning, however, cartwheel is showing 50% off Boom Co. toys instead. Very disappointed.

Hi Kailey- I must have misread your comment. I thought you were suggesting that it was my fault you drove to Target and got up early. I absolutely hate it when readers are disappointed with deals I post so I think I can be too sensitive. But the Cartwheel coupon would have required internet access to either save or print out. Were you planning to use the wifi in store to do that?
Hi Christina- yes we discovered yesterday that Target changed the deals. Most likely they did that in response to inventory issues that popped up earlier this week. Glad you checked the offer before heading out!
I work at Target, having plenty of inventory on shelves is literally in my job description. The list was changed because of the leak. There was a master list for inventory and back room employees, but because of the leak now we’re working blind. We don’t know the toy until day of which means I have only 2 hours to find every toy in every location and hope it’s a full shelf. Thanks to greedy people now my job is harder and more frustrating.
OMG! Get over it people! These are simply toys! There are 6 FULL weeks left for these amazing deals! Only because you didn’t get the one toy you wanted doesn’t mean you aren’t going to have plenty of other chances to get it. Charlene stated “it could change so check your Cartwheel to make sure”. It’s the holidays people! Seriously get over yourself and start being nice! Are your lives seriously that miserable that you have to bring others down?! Life has much bigger problems. This isn’t one of them.

That is unfortunate to hear. I heard that there were people completely emptying shelves of the toys and then reselling them. Such a shame. Another reader commented that in her store they provided the toy catalogs and apparently a women took every last one to sell on ebay. So unfortunate. How lucky you do have a job this holiday season though- I bet Target is a fun place to work 🙂
