I just ran into Target for a few things and I noticed this awesome Cartwheel coupon! You can get 50% off Halloween costumes for kids, toddlers or infants!
The bad news is the coupon expires 9/27 so you need to hustle.
I saw tons of costumes priced at $20- including Avengers and an adorable Cowgirl costume for girls.
The costume prices can really vary from year to year but typically Target doesn’t go down to 50% off until right before the holiday. So if there is a costume your little one really wants it might be best to grab it now. You can always keep the receipt and return it later if something else pops up.
I thought some of the decor was nice looking this year. I grabbed the tablecloth below for just $3.00 and then some black and white striped straws for $3.00. Just make sure to keep your receipt on holiday stuff because if it goes on sale next week you can get a price adjustment.
A few other coupons to note:
- 20% off adult Halloween accessories
- 20% off Halloween makeup (and this is the stuff that I find tends to sell out early)
- 10% off Halloween Pumpkin Carving
- 15% off Halloween Novelty Lighting
- 10% off Halloween partyware
- 20% off Fall and Halloween decor in the holiday shop
- 15% off Halloween pet costumes
- 10% off Trick or Treat Pails (the pumpkin ones are only $1 so just $.90 after coupon)

Awesome! My son will be so excited to get his Wolverine costume tomorrow!
Charlene says
Megan,
I for sure saw Wolverine at my store for $20 :). That is a real steal in my opinion.

Thanks! My nieces and I were eyeing the Disney “couture” costumes just this morning, but $35 was too steep for a dress-up box dress. They play with their costumes so much that they were looking like Cinderella’s rags. I ran out as soon as I saw this and bought four new costumes! Too bad the boy costumes were so lame, none for my own three sons!
Charlene says
Amy were they $17.50 each? You know we got the most beautiful Ariel costume at Costco for about that price recently.
My 6 year old is wearing it here:

I bought a Rapunzel and Cinderella costume for $17.50 each. These seem to be excellent quality, not wear once and the seams are pulling apart typical Halloween costumes. Also a bride costume for $12.50 and and Aurora for $10. For the extra $5 to $7.50, I think they will get a lot more wear out of the more expensive costumes since it is their favorite thing to do.
Charlene says
Yeah the dress up stuff pays for itself in our house too.

The coupon is gone this morning 🙁

Hi charlene! I am pretty new to cartwheel but looked all over for this deal this am and couldn’t find it to add it to my card. I am wondering if maybe only frequent cartwheel users are able to access this deal?
Charlene says
Shanna,
Every so often the limit is reached on coupons early. That appears to be the case on this one. I don’t think it has to do with how often you use the app but rather how quickly you get to the store ;). Mine is still in my account because I saved it yesterday but it says limit reached so I don’t know if they will still honor it.
Candice says
Mine says “limit reached” and “expired”! :/
Charlene says
Candice,
It looks like it might have been yesterday only and they made a mistake and put 9/26-9/27. I guess it is a good reminder that the really great offers you want to jump on- especially now that it is the holiday season. Deals just don’t last like they used to.
Amy says
Just for future reference, Target clarified on their Facebook that “limit reached” means the coupon can no longer be added to your cartwheel, BUT if you have already added it, you can still use it until it expires. Mine said limit reached, but still worked this evening.
Charlene says
Oh great thanks Amy for the clarification!
