I wanted to mention these BOB books for those that might want to get a few for the summer months. These are fantastic books to teach your little ones to read.
Prices start at $11. These are just a little cheaper at Costco but they don’t have this big of a selection. The reviews are excellent and we use these with my Kindergartner. She has struggled with reading and these books have been the only thing that has worked for us to help her along. Plus the boxes come with over 100 stickers which is a great motivator for little ones.
The books are sold by age and reading level so it is easy to grab the right book. Choose from sight works, rhyming words, vowels, pre-reading skills, advance readers and more!
Head over to Amazon to take a look at all the BOB books. Shipping is free with Prime or $25 orders.
Prices can change at any moment on Amazon.

For anyone thinking about buying the BOB books… I adored them when I taught my daughters to read! Highly recommend!

Charlene, just sharing w/you a fun (educational) summer activity for your girls. To practice reading sight words: (1) Use sidewalk chalk to write sight words on the ground, (2) Call out a word & the child throws a water balloon on the correct word. (I also think a trigger squirt water bottle would work instead of water balloons 🙂 )
For your younger child, write the Letters of the Alphabet and follow the same procedure. Do uppercase letters and lowercase letters.
(Spotted this idea in the latest issue of “Family Fun” magazine)
