I have a really fun giveaway and sweepstakes to tell you about from Lifetime and Project Runway.

The first thing is the awesome sweepstakes offer- Lifetime Networks is offering $1000 in a cash prize weekly PLUS one grand prize winner will score $10,000!

This is to celebrate the new season of Project Runway All Stars and to recognize all the amazing Moms out there that are also All Stars in their own right.  This runs through November 22nd and there will be (5) weekly $1000 winners.

If you want to try your shot at the sweepstakes you can head over to Lifetime Moms to enter.

And Lifetime was very generous to provide over $350.00 in prizes to 5 lucky My Frugal Adventures readers!

To enter is incredibly simple and here are the prizes you can win:

1. Grand Prize: $300 Vera Bradley gift pack including a Weekender overnight bag, luggage tag and a gift card!  I have the Weekender myself and it is an awesome bag.  You will also get a copy of the Project Runaway new hardcover book.

2. Second Prize: $50 American Express gift card to use where ever you want!  Use this to do grocery shopping or Christmas shopping- whatever you might need.  And the second prize winner also gets a copy of the Project Runway book.

3. Three more winners will get a copy of the Project Runway book.  I love Project Runway (“Make it Work!”) so this looks great to me or you might pass it along as a gift this holiday season.

To enter:

1. Mandatory: Just watch the very quick little video here and leave a comment below.  What would you do with $10,000?  Do you agree with any of the ladies in the video or have your own ideas?  I can tell you I would put that $10,000 to good use.  We need a new garage door and I would love to get new flooring throughout the house.

    There is a lot I’d like to do around the house with $10,000!! But we have another baby on the way so I would purchase some furniture and put the rest into savings.

    If we won 10 grand, we’d pay off the credit card, go to Disneyland with our 6 kids, and put the rest away in the savings account!! Fun to dream about!

    After taxes, it would be more like $5000, maybe $6000. I would:
    1. give $500 to each of my favorite charities, Heifer Intl, Bethlehem Haven (a women’s shelter in Pittsburgh. My sister is on the board) and American Cancer Society.
    2. give my 93-year-old mother $500 mad money to do something fun.
    3. buy stocks for my 5 adult kids.
    4. buy cashmere sweaters for me
    5. take my husband to a Broadway show and dinner

    I would first splurge on a new outfit for each family member and then use the rest to pay down debt.

    I would have to agree with the lady that said she sadly would have to pay off some debt! It would be nice to pay off the car and then it would free up money for during the month.

    I would pay off my debt, and then…I would take my little family, and my parents, back to Germany to see where I was born!! 🙂

    I agree with the lady that said she would pay off her debt. I’d definitely put it toward my house. The sooner I paid off the house the sooner I can start using that large mortgage payment for something else.

    I would pay off my school loans and take a fabulous Disney family vacation with our 4 children. Ahhhh, dreaming 🙂

    I would donate some to a charity… then use some of it to update the bathroom.

    I was recently diagnosed with a severe case of RA after having my son and find it increasingly difficult to go up and down the stairs. We really need a one story home but, we are upside down in our mortgage and can’t rent our house for what we pay. I would use the money to sale the house and find a new home that I can function in.

    I would use some of it for a 10 year anniversary trip and donate a lot of it to a maternity house in Kenya that does amazing work. I might put some in our next car savings account too- cars are expensive!

    I would remodel my mothers kitchen – she spends so much time in there and deserves a good looking kitchen! THEN I would probably buy myself a new wardrobe – IN ALL HONESTY!

    I am an email subscriber. If I would win 10,000 I would finish or gutted out bathroom upstairs do I don’t have to walk downstairs to the dungeon of a basement overtime I have to shower or go. Then I would give some to both of my girls to put away for them.

    I would spend a little of it at a time. We need a garage door too, we just had ours fixed. Our backyard needs a little lovin’ too!

    I would put the money towards a new dining room table that would be big enough for everyone to sit around at Thanksgiving dinner.

    I would use the money to go see my family who live very far away from me. I miss them so much. I would not be a diva with money, this is the time to live frugally and look towards the future.
