I plan to price match the Post Its and the Crayons to Target. If I remember actual Crayon brand crayons didn’t get much lower than $.25 last year and these are perfect for Operation Christmas Child boxes and stockings.
You can see the Back to School Deals for Staples here. Make sure you grab your coupon to get free Bic pens at Target starting tomorrow!

i didn’t realize target price matched?! I never could really find anywhere that said they did. Would I need to bring this ad in for them to see, and do you think they would put a limit on the crayons as well? Thanks!
Brieanna says
I just called Walmart because I know they price match…and they said they would go by the limit stated in the ad. Not sure if Target would be the same or not.
Charlene says
Brienna, everything is going to be identical in a price match. The price, the quantity and the items. If you want to price match you will get exactly the same deal as if you went directly to the store so yes if a limit is indicated it would be enforced at either place you shop.
sarah mcreynolds says
I don’t see the post-its in the ad. What page are they on?
Sarah says
The post-its were not in my add either and the coupon was a pain to do at Office Depot, if you do go to office depot make sure you get something else that was the only way they were able to make the coupon work at my store they actually took the dollar off of my other item.
Jessica W. says
I was going to ask the same thing about the post-it pads
They were on several blogs but I can’t find them in the ad and I could not find them in store at that price
I did price match at walmart but you can price match at staples too.
nancy grannycoupon quire says
yea i went to office depot and those post it pads are ranging $6.29 plus where are they .99 cents?
Charlene says
If everyone can just check the link to the weekly ad posted above, you will see where I saw it listed on page 18. If you do not see it listed in your weekly ad, I would assume the deal is not available in your area.
Sarah says
It was in my area but my ad was totally different than the one posted online, they just didn’t know about the coupon nor how to make the coupon work and since it wasn’t in the actual ad I couldn’t take it anywhere else to price match!
Charlene says
So sad 🙁 I don’t see it in my ad either. I don’t get the difference, the online ad has 2 extra pages to it. So those that went into Office Depot still didn’t find it?
Jessica says
I found them on the shelf with a huge tag marked 0.99, but they rang up at 5.99 – they had to price check the shelf – took 10 minutes to do that (because it wasn’t in the ad either).
I gave them coupons – and oh my gosh, you’d think they went off the deep end. They first questioned my coupons, then tried to tell me I had to buy each one seperately (I was getting 5) – then tried to tell me there was a limit on how many I could get (neither the ad nor the price tag said there was a limit). Then tried to tell me I couldn’t use my coupons what-so-ever. Then the computer wouldn’t even scan them, then they told me since they were on sale for 0.99, they couldn’t take the $1 coupon (I rebutted with the manufacturer reimburses them). And on and on… They made me feel embarrassed just to even try to use a coupon. And of course my cashier was a trainee and every minute called the supervisor back over.. UGH!!!
They eventually let me get 4, 2 in a transaction with only 1 coupon. So for 4, I paid 2.17. Really good price – but I will never ever ever ever go back to office depot. I will price match at target.
Jessica says
i had sooooo many problems at office depot. I had to spend 30 minutes just for the cashier to make anything work, AFTER debating the legitamacy of the coupons and trying to tell me the postits had limits (they did not), pricing, and on and on.
In the end, they had to put only 2 on a transaction, and I could only use 1 coupon – making 2 $1.07. Great price, BUT
they made me feel soo embarrassed about using my coupons and questioning me about their own ad. I don’t think I will ever ever ever go to office depot again. I’ll just price match to target or walmart.
Linda says
Had the same problem using the coupon. Even though the cashier told me that the coupon went through after I asked, the total amount still didn’t sound right. So after consulting with the receipt, it looked like it didn’t take the coupon into consideration. They said that since it was 0.99 and the coupon was for $1 off, I couldn’t use it. I don’t think I’ve ever had problems with overage before at other stores. And besides, I was there buying other stuff too so it’s not like I was making a profit (.01 no less!). Geez! Since I already had a lot of post-its at home and was only wanting to try this new one with a coupon, I returned it right there. They made such a big deal over what, a penny?? Way to go, Office Depot…
Charlene says
I hate that stupid penny too Linda. Has caused me much grief at a lot of stores over the years.
