I think most people are already familiar with Apartment Guide as a resource for finding apartment rentals across the United States. Many of the properties they feature also have floor plans, comprehensive photographs and other information to help you find the perfect rental space. In addition, Apartment Guide also has tips for entertaining and decorating.
And I was recently challenged by Apartment Guide to come up with fun, budget-friendly, entertaining ideas in smaller spaces.
I am actually planning a birthday party for my nephew so I decided to take on this challenge and see what I can come up with! We initially planned a backyard BBQ but the weather has changed those plans. Not to worry, we decided to just continue the celebration indoors! This is my nephew’s 21st birthday so we are having a Mexican Fiesta (his favorite food) and I am hoping to pull together a fun, vibrant party to celebrate.
To make this challenge more exciting, Apartment Guide is offering a $100 gift card giveaway to one My Frugal Adventures reader!
You will get a $100 American Express gift card that can be used anywhere you like. This giveaway will run through Wednesday at 4pm PST.

I would like to have a Birthday party for my 4 and 2 yr. olds. Its too expensive to do every year, so this would give me a reason to throw them a party this year! They were born 2 yrs and 2 weeks apart.
If I won the gift card I would use it towards a baby shower.

I always stock up after the holidays on clearance paper supplies. I often get paper products that are on clear. but do not look like holiday items for 90 % off. Then I use them for family parties etc.

I would use this for a Mardi Gras party!
I just had a birthday party for my daughter, I bought invitations and thank you card together at Target, and I made the cake. I ended up not spending much money at all. My husbands is coming up soon and I want to do something fun for him
Bake the cake yourself instead of buying from the store, will sure save you at least $20 bucks!!!
My advice for budget parties: Keep it simple! No need to out-do the Joneses!

I like to use supplies from the dollar store to save money.
I always save money when throwing my parties by getting helium balloons from the dollar store and my party supplies during the 90% off holiday sales at Target!

I try to schedule parties and their menus about 6 weeks in advance so I have time to watch the sales for everything I might need. That time frame usually is sufficient to get most everything I need one sale, which totally reduces the price of the event!

Our daughter turns 5 on March 16th. She has been asking for weeks to have her party at the local inflatable bounce-house facility. This would definitely make it affordable for us and help her birthday wish come true!!
