I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!
Home Depot is launching a Renew and Redo sale at stores nationwide. They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!
I am very happy to say that Home Depot has provided me with one $100 gift card to pass along to a lucky reader to help you get started on a little makeover of your own!
This giveaway will run through Sunday 30th and you have two chances to win.

Oh and I like you on FB
I have been wanting to do something with our master bath-we haven’t touched it in the 3 years we’ve lived here! I would love to find a pedastal sink, some storage, new rugs, shower curtain, and some wall art. We have a penguin shower curtain, and its the only splash of color in the whole room!
I would love some paint. We live in a drab all white apartment. Help! We need color!!!
I too follow you on facebook!
We need a new toilet!
I follow you on Facebook.
I receive your email.
We will be buying a toilet seat cover. Not as glamarous as what you had in mind I’m sure. 🙁 😛
I would love to have a new toilet in my bathroom.
I also love to follow you on Facebook! Thanks for all that you and Happy Anniversary!
I am hoping to replace my cabinetry soon into something more chic
hmmm, our bathrooms are small and need cosmetic changes mainly. The walls are atrocious–at some point wallpaper was removed–but not the glue–and then the walls were painted. yuck. I’ve seen that Valspar has a venetian plaster that would give color (please!) and texture to the walls–and would greatly hide the funky walls. And upstairs needs new towel bars–my kids decided to hang from one….it’s bent… They are ugly, 1980’s ones, anyway. My dream would be to put beadboard in both bathrooms…but the textured paint would work for me, too! 😉 And new flooring–tiles?
I need a new vanity too! Plus our bathtub needs re-caulked!
I want this towel warmer from Home Depot, because that is all my husband has ever wanted! When he gets back from Afghanistan, I want him to be able to relax in a nice bath and have a nice warm towel waiting for him! He works so hard that he deserves to be pampered! Here is a link to the towel warmer: http://www.homedepot.com/Bath-Bath-Hardware-Bath-Accessories-Towel-Warmers/h_d1/N-5yc1vZashv/R-100388368/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
