I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!
Home Depot is launching a Renew and Redo sale at stores nationwide. They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!
I am very happy to say that Home Depot has provided me with one $100 gift card to pass along to a lucky reader to help you get started on a little makeover of your own!
This giveaway will run through Sunday 30th and you have two chances to win.

I would love to put this gift certificate to good use by replacing the nasty bar of lights over the vanity with something a little more modern. Speaking of modern, do I really need a mirror that consumes the entire wall? I’d love to replace the mirror with a smaller more modern one. Finally, I would replace the top of the vanity with marble, but keep the current one in place. What a great way to spruce up our bathroom!
I want too purchase lumber so I can start building the shelves I want in my bathroom, I want to build a leaning shelf to store all my towels, and other bathroom stuff on, It would also help with buying a new saw to cut the lumber with.
I subscribe to your emails and I have “liked” you on Facebook last year. Thanks!
Oooh! We just got tile for our master bath, and of course, along with this project I’ve noticed all the other dated & moldy items that need replacing! I would love to replace the shower nozzle & shower door- they’re gold & tacky!
I liked you on facebook.
I need a new toilet. I just painted the vanity, the walls and the trim and love the new look. However, my toilet leaks and the seat is broken. It is very sad and needs to be replace right away. Thank you for such a great give away. Love your site.!!
I would like to buy a new toilet.
I would love new lighting in our bathroom. The 12-bulbs-across fixture seems more like a Hollywood dressing room than a home bathroom.
We need to paint and update the lighting in the kids bathroom.
Oh, and I “like” you on Facebook! 🙂
I follow you on facebook and get your email everyday!
Thanks for having a giveaway. If I won I would use the card towards new light fixtures and paint.

Happy Birthday. We just bought a new house and the bathroom has all blue stuff- sink, tub, toilet, counter top. So we would like to strlart with a new vanity.
I follow you in fb and receive your emails. I’m a true stalker 🙂
Wow, we’d actually be able to finish our master bath! It’s been a work in progress since our son was born (he’s now 2) – but we’re very close. We use the bathroom – the shower and tub are great – but my husband hasn’t finished the large vanity or cabinet he built yet and we could use a little bit to get the hardware and nice towel bars and hooks. Thanks!
Oh, I also follow you on Facebook. I wasn’t sure if this should be a completely separate comment or not. 🙂
I would love a new shower head and to replace the very old mirror that takes up the whole wall, would like something smaller, framed and more modern!
I would start with a toilet paper holder. Seriously.
We are currently in a rental and neither bathroom has a toilet paper holder. I hate to put money into someone else’s house but having a roll of TP on the edge of the counter is really starting to bug the living hell out of me!!!
I follow you on facebook and get your emails so I never miss a deal! Thanks for all you do!
I have been an email subscriber for a while now, and seriously appreciate all you do for us!
I need a new coat of paint on top of needing new racks & new lighting fixtures. Great giveaway!
I’ve been working on my guest bathroom for nearly 3 years! Would love to get a new sink/faucet and perhaps (if I’m frugal enough) a vanity!

Right now our bathroom could use some cabinet knobs to replace the missing ones, a shower head that doesn’t leak out the towards the wall, and a self-cleaning toilet if there is one out there : )
New towel bars, knobs, and maybe fixtures in our bathroom. It’s not too exciting, but it would provide some much-needed sprucing up!

I follow MFA on Facebook, too!

Our bathtub and shower areas need to be regrouted!
Oh my gosh would I love to buy mirrors, towel bars and a new toilet seat. Yes a new toilet seat! Haha we recently bought a home that was boarded up and created a new home out of it. Replacing everything in it. Money has ran thin and so mirrors, towel bars and other things you really use on a daily basis but just don’t seem all that important have not been purchased. And honestly I’m starting ton feel like they never will be without a little help.
I like MFA of facebook!
I would love a new shower door!
I’ love to change my vanity mirror and paint the cabinets
We are trying to install a new master bathroom so we could use EVERYTHING!!
I would get tile to redo the floor!!!

We rent our home, so the most I could do is paint and add some new accessories. But we do have three bathrooms, so I’m thinking the $100 gift card could go a long way in giving those bathrooms personality! (And in paying for the white paint to repaint the walls when we have to move out. LOL)

I would love to replace all my ugly brass that is coming off my bathroom cabinets and faucet yuck!
I get your emails, follow you on Twitter and “like you” on FB! I’m gonna hear about all the deals one way or another! LOL

I would start with paint that always makes a HUGE difference (white walls suck lol) then I would replace the giant mirror for two smaller framed mirrors for over each sink. I would also do the lighting and honestly that’s all I would do I like the rest of our bathroom.
I would love to replace all my ugly brass that is coming off my bathroom knobs on the cabinets and faucet yuck!
Recently, the sewage pipes collapsed at my parents home and sewage backflowed into my parents basement. As a result, they are forced to remodle the entire downstairs, including their bath/laundry room. Though they filed an insurance claim, their agent offered them values for the “classic” 1970s features that existed in the home rather than current market value for comprable updated items. I would love to be able to contribute the $100 gift card to the my parents purchase of a new vanity/mirror, floor tile, or new shower. They recently welcomed me back into their home rent free, and I would love to be able to contribute this token of appreciation.
New fixtures for sure, and flooring…something besides linoleum. 😉
Happy Anniversary/Birthday!!! I would buy a new everything! Probably start with a vanity.
