Walgreens: Wrapping Paper Moneymaker!

12/09/2010 By Charlene 27 Comments

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

There is an in ad coupon this week (in the regular ad not the 4 day ad) for .33 Hallmark White Tissue Paper.  The limit happens to be 6.

And guess what?  Apparently this paper is also triggering that awesome Register Reward for Hallmark cards!

So here is how it looks:

Buy 6 at .33 each with in ad coupon
Pay $1.98 and you will hopefully get a $5 Register Reward back!!

So I don’t know how long this will work but since you don’t need to use any coupons the worst case would be to just return it.

If I didn’t have Bronchitus right now I would already be on my way to the store because who can’t use extra tissue paper!  Since it is white, you can even wrap gifts with it and have the littles color on the outside to make it look like you put a lot of effort and thought into it.

UPDATE:

Here is another awesome deal:

There is indeed free wrapping paper to be found at Walgreens!

It is priced at Buy One Get One Free- $1.99/2 and is triggering the Register Reward!

So here are two deal ideas:

Buy 2 Hallmark Wrapping Paper, B1G1 Free @ $1.99
Get a $2 Register Reward (Jingle Cash)
FREE after Register Reward!

Buy 2 Hallmark Wrapping Paper, B1G1 Free @ $1.99
Buy 4 Hallmark Tissue Paper, 3/$1 with In Ad Coupon
Get a $5 Register Reward (Jingle Cash)
FREE + $1.68 Money Maker!

Some people are not getting the RR when they purchase 2- so the safest bet is to buy 6.

The good news is that next week there are some nice Hallmark deals in the ad and the Register Reward is still featured so maybe we will get lucky with more deals!

Thanks Passion for Savings!

I bought 2 Hallmark cards today at .99c each and got the $2.00 RR so free. Also had to get manager on the carmex moisturizer lotion as they were not going to allow me to use two coupons on the buy one get one free. Mgr allowed though!! Also used 4 Crayola $4.00 off coupons for the Crayola Pixi Art Kits-got for $1.99 each and it triggerred a $10.00 Rewards with the purchase of Carmex!! Loving my deals! I did find that I had to go to another Walgreens as my Walgreens here in sunny so cal did not carry the Crayola kits-looks like only certain stores are getting them.

I don’t know what happened to me but u bought 6 hallmark cards yesterday at $.99 each and it only printed a $2 RR. I’m going to try another one later but I’m afraid that if I try the wrapping paper or tissue paper it won’t eather. 🙁

Does anyone know if you can use the .50/1 roll of wrapping paper coupon printed using the facebook link and still get the buy one get one and RR?

If you got the $3 Natrol RR last week, it rolls very nicely into this deal. I bought (6) tissue paper and two Van Kamps pork & beans. I used the $3RR from the Natrol. All I paid was $.19 in sales tax and exchanged my $3RR for a $5RR!! Awesome deal.

I got my $5 RR also, at 3 different stores (Wags are on every block here) by buying just 6 tissue papers! My kids’ teachers should be able to use it for projects! Thanks!!!

I did the 2 wrapping paper and 4 tissue paper deal and it worked – I got my $5 RR. Good thing you posted this deal too because my RR from Thanksgiving expired after today! Thanks for doing what you do! =)

It worked great in UT tonight. I bought 6 rolls of wrapping paper and 18 packs of tissue paper, paid $12.72 and got back $21 in RR. Sweet deal! And the tissue paper’s were bonus packs with 24 sheets instead of 20.

I am new to the Walgreen’s game so bear with me. I purchased several items today and got back (2) $5 Jingle Cash coupons, one of which was from buying 6 Hallmark cards. Can I use the $5 RR (Hallmark thank you) towards a purchase of more Hallmark items (tissue paper, etc) and get another $5 RR back? Thanks!

  19. Charlene says

    12/09/2010 at 11:37 PM

Rachel nope. You can’t roll deals. Check out this post learn all about it:

So you can get 2 ($5) RR’s in one transaction from Hallmark? Or do you need to do 2 separate transactions?

  21. Charlene says

    12/10/2010 at 8:54 AM

You will get 1 RR per transaction Kim. If you want to read more about the Walgreens program just click the Drugstore 101 link at the top of the blog.

Thank you for the info! BTW, I got 2 RR’s in one transaction yesterday; one for hitting $25, one for buying 6 Hallmark items.

I did the 2 wrapping papers and 4 tissue papers at one Walgreens and got the $5RR but then at another Walgreens I bought just the 6 tissue papers and didn’t get the RR! What’s the deal?

  24. Katie says

    12/10/2010 at 11:28 AM

I purchased 5 cards, and 2 wrapping paper on Tuesday, and only got the $2 RR. Returned my cards and bought 6, and the $5 RR printed, so I guess paper is not included at my store? Dallas Texas

I bought two wrapping papers and four tissue in Sonoma County (Northern Califronia) and it did not work.

  26. Charlene says

    12/10/2010 at 2:13 PM

Teresa did you buy the tiny tissue paper in the card section or the larger one in the wrapping paper aisle that is loose?

  27. teresa says

    12/10/2010 at 2:29 PM

The tissue in the wrapping paper aisle. The ones that were on sale with the coupon, next to the wrapping paper. I hope I did it wrong and then I can go back and do it correctly and get the great deal!
