CLOSED. Giveaway: Good Earth Restaurant Favorites

06/06/2010 By Charlene

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

The winner was Kari.

I have to tell you right off the bat that this is in no way an unbiased review. I worked at the Good Earth restaurants when I was 17 and it always brings back such lovely memories, I am very partial to their products. Especially the tea which is my favorite.

Anyway, I was very happy to check out the new restaurant favorites meal kits which should be hitting supermarket shelves in the next few weeks. The kit we received was Mediterranean chicken and included whole grain pasta, creamy sauce, seasoning, and you just add the chicken.

I was thinking this would be dry and taste cardboardy for some reason and we were surprised that is was actually pretty tasty. The pasta came out well and the sauce was nice and rich. We actually added a few extras to the pasta to jazz it up a little more- like sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese but you can easily serve it on its own.

Overall I think this is terribly convenient and these are very easy kits for people with smaller families especially.

If you want to check out the Good Earth Restaurant Favorites as well, you can! I have a complete kit available with a recycled tote bag, bamboo serving pieces and one of the entrees.

If you would like to enter to win, there are 4 chances. I will randomly select a winner on Tuesday at 11am PST.

1. I told you about one of my first jobs, and I’d love to hear where your first job was? Good memories or bad?
2. You can subscribe to my newsletter (or let me know you do!)
3. You can follow me on Twitter (or let me know you do!)
4. You can like me on Facebook (or let me know you do!)

Good Luck!

My first job was vacuuming at a local bookstore. I was about 12 years old and would always find myself spending *extra* time vacuuming around the Agatha Christie mysteries (looking at titles and later purchasing many of them). Haha. Good times!

My very first job was going door to door selling garden seeds. I loved that job.. I was a whole 8 years old I think I was always doing something for money.. babysitting, selling lemonaide, or anything else I could.
I also worked in a BBQ Beef Sandwich (trailer) shop one Spring Break on South Padre Island when I was about 10..(almost 40 years ago)
My dad & his partners owned it.. We ran it. That was alot of fun and before SPI became the tourist trap that it is today.
