I am a Costco girl and thank heavens we have a free membership through my parents because I save a ton of money on staples like cheese, bread, certain produce etc… I would love to have a look at Sam’s Club though because I have heard they take coupons! Plus the Sam’s Club in my area is never as crazy as Costco seems to always be. Sam's Club does not take coupons, unfortunately. 🙁 I've emailed their customer service in the past to find out for sure.
I was always an exclusive Costco girl, my mom would shop both. After we moved from CA to IN and the nearest Costco was over 30 miles from us (i still do go there anyways, just not as often), my mom got me a Sams card on her account since Sams is literally 1 block from our houses. I do really like it. I have staples that I buy from each store now, things I can not find at the other. I have thought about not renewing the Costco card this next year, but I do use it to get our pre-cooked bacon, hamburger, salmon, etc. So, I think for now I will continue with both…especially since I pay for the Costco and my mom pays for the Sams..we both are still only paying for one card each per year.
Sam's does not take coupons. We have a free membership through DH's work and I would not have a membership if it was not for that. There are a couple things I like there, but it is not worth the cost of a membership. If they did take coupons I would possibly consider purchasing one (if I didn't get one for free). (just for reference we have a family of 5, 2 adults, 4yo, 2yo, and 4mo old)
My Sams does NOT take coupons. I called and asked. They said since they are a bulk foods store that basically sells for wholesale they don't take coupons. I would assume its the same policy with all of them but you might want to call and find out.
Boo! It must be just BJs that takes coupons.
