I have been meaning to post this for awhile now- did you know Target stores nationwide are now price matching competitors ads? Here is the letter from Target regarding this new policy (thanks to BeCentsable).
“Dear Target Guest,
Thanks for taking the time to ask us about price matching at Target. Target now offers price matching with any qualifying competitor. To take advantage of this promotion you must bring in local competitor’s entire current ad. The advertised price must be valid at the competitor the day the price match is requested. Target does not accept ads that have expired, computer printouts, even those advertising in-store prices. Photos, photocopies or mobile phone versions of in-store prices, partial ads or pages cut from ads are also not accepted. Please visit your local Target location for further information. We look forward to showing you what’s new at Target.
Sincerely,
Beth

You might call ahead to your store to confirm they are participating the first time around, but this is supposed to be a nationwide policy. (I called my anti-couponers store and they stated they would not be participating. I called a second store in my area and they said no problem.)
So Krazy Coupon Lady found a great deal on Pampers. Take the Walgreens ad to your store and on the back page you will see $8.99 Jumbo packs of Pampers.
Target will price match to $8.99
Then have a looksee in your Smart Source insert and see if you got the Target $2 off Pampers coupons.
I got the Swaddlers $2 off but apparently some areas got Cruisers.
Stack that with the $1 off coupon in the 8/2 P&G and get your diapers for $5.99
Note: Swaddlers are only size N-2 so this won’t work for everyone.

When I tried to price match at Target they told me they do not accept a TARGET coupon if the item is being price matched. They said they will only accept a manufacturers coupon as long as the total value of the coupon does not exceed the price of the product. (Last week I tried to price match the BIC mechanical pencils from the Staples Ad for $.25 and pair it with a TARGET bic printable $1/2 coupon and the manufacturer BIC coupon for $1/2. They would not accept either coupon.) Have you heard of this?
