Safeway Trip .98!

candace

I have seen a few comments coming through with awesome trips to Safeway so far!  This one reader Candice just did today and it is pretty awesome.

She bought 5 boxes of Fruit Snacks
One box of Chocolate Cheerios
2 boxes of Cocoa Krispies
2 boxes of Frosted Flakes
She used a $1.25/1 Chocolate Cheerios coupon
(2) $1.50/2 Kellogg’s cereal coupons
(2) .50/2 Fruit Snacks coupons

Plus (3) .50 e-coupons were deducted. Her total was $10.98. She used the $10 catalina from last week’s Charmin deal and paid .98 total out of pocket. Then she got $6.50 back in catalinas for next time! So roughly $4.50 is the net cost for 5 boxes of Fruit Snacks and 5 boxes of cereal or just .45 per item!

Make sure you are checking the comments HERE to see what other great transactions people have come up with!  And get the scoop on this hot promotion right HERE.

Safeway Trip #1

010

So I spent about $7 total on my first Safeway run.  I used all the coupons I told you about HERE with one exception- an extra .40 ecoupon came off for the Nut Clusters.  I also got a $3.50 catalina back to make my net about $3.60..

So basically I paid for the strawberries $3 and .60 for 6 boxes of fruit snacks, 4 boxes of cereal and 5 bags of Nature Valley Nut clusters.

How did you do on your Safeway trips?

Shopping Trip $11.51

009

I did a quick run today to Rite Aid and Raleys.  We went to Whole Foods earlier today since they have a little park for the kiddos and it is gorgeous here!

WHOLE FOODS: $1.97
I got 3 more boxes of Free Kashi Cereal (and in case you wondered, I put them all in ziploc bags to save space in the pantry)
I got 2 more free Blue Diamond Almond Milk
and I got a Ciabaguette for $1.99

Rite Aid $11.16
I bought 3 John Freida and 4 Biore. I used the coupons I told you about HERE with one exception. I bought Frizz Ease for $6.49 and used an extra $1 ad perk coupon. So this wound up being .49 extra after coupon.
Luden’s .99
The total was $8.48 with $2.68 in tax. I will get $5 rebate back from John Freida and $5 back from Biore so my net spent was $1.16 or basically just the cough drops! What a great deal!  (Oh I also used a $5/25 Rite Aid coupon and the Biore had a $2/2 peelie)

Raley’s $8.38
I might go back again tonight because this is really good deal.
I bought 2 Jennie O Turkey Dinners at $2.99. They had .55 peelies on the front that I used PLUS I got 2 Country Crock dinners (valued at $5.99) for free with purchase!
2 Francisco Sandwich Rolls $2.50 each- used .75/1 HERE
PLUS I got a free mocha with the coupon HERE!
*I am also going to submit the rebate HERE for $5 back for buying Jennie O!

Whole Foods Trip!

019
I am so excited that the free Kashi deal I told you about HERE actually worked for me today!  The Kashi hot cereal is priced at $2.50.  I used (3) $1.50/1 coupons that I got in the mail from Vocalpoint.  You can also print the coupons out HERE.  Then I used (3) $1/1 any Kashi Heart to Heart item from the Whole Foods March/April coupon book.

So all 3 boxes were free!  Then I spent $1.99 on a loaf of bread- so my grand total was $1.99.

***REMEMBER you need to do some leg work if you want to try this deal.  This was advertised in my area but every store has different pricing/sales- so just call ahead and ask for the price on the Heart to Heart hot cereal.  Also some stores will allow you to stack coupons and some will not- so be sure to ask that as well!

Safeway Trip

014

I made my husband run to Safeway to test the deal I told you about this morning.

He bought 2 packs of Charmin- these were actually priced at $13.99 at my store.  When you buy 2 get them for $9.99 each.

He did not have the (2) .25/1 coupons but my $3 off Charmin e-coupon did come right off (I loaded it last night)

So the grand total was $18.63 after tax and he got the catalina for $10 off your next trip back.  So the net was $4.31 per pack and I got .50 into my U Promise account.

NOW one new thing.  I was thinking of going back to get Bounty and Charmin but the catalina says in very fine print- not to be used on Proctor and Gamble products.  This is an exclusion I have not seen before so it looks like you can’t roll these catalinas into another purchase.   You can save it for your next shopping trip though and just pay cash if you want to buy more TP or Paper Towels.

If you do not have ANY coupons at all you will pay $19.98+ tax and get a $10 catalina back.  That is $9.98 for 48 rolls of TP or .21 per roll.  So this is still an excellent deal.

We have a great cheese sale coming up anyway so these catalinas will come in handy!  Don’t forget the catalina offer ends TODAY 3/2.
