CVS & Safeway Trip

SAFEWAY: $3.99

Baby Bella Mushrooms $3.99
Garlic .50
Bread $1.50- used $1 coupon= .50
2 Del Monte Smoothies $1- Used (2) $1 coupons= Free
And I used a $1 produce coupon and paid $3.99

CVS #1 $9.54

This trip didn’t go as planned…

King Size Snickers $1 (as filler)- used .75 coupon from CVS coupon scanner= .25
Phillips Earbuds $6.99
3 Oral B Toothbrushes $3.79- Used BOGO coupon, Used (2) .75 coupons
1 Oral B toothbrush .94 on clearance
Used $2 ECB and $4/20 coupon from scanner and paid $9.54, got $5 ECB for Oral B and $6.99 for Earbuds.

I should have been able to use (2) BOGO coupons. I gave those first and the cashier said I could only use one. I have to call customer service tomorrow because that was incorrect.

Transaction #2:

Cascade $3.99
High Octane $1.99

Used $5 ECB from transaction #1 and paid $1.31. (The Cascade is not an especially good deal- we are just out of dish soap.) Got $1 ECB for Cascade and $1.99 for High Octane.

So my net cost at CVS was $2.87 and it actually would have been a .90 moneymaker except the cashier that thwarted me.

Raley’s Trip

I have to say I was so excited for the e-coupons at Raley’s this week! Coupons for meat and produce are so incredibly hard to find so this was great.

Here is what I got:

2 gallons of milk $4.98
Ronzoni .99- used .55/1 coupon= .44
1 Black Angus Carne Asada $3.54
1 Black Angus Ribeye $7.10
1 3lb bag apples FREE with coupon!

I used the $5/10 Black Angus coupon and paid $11.

I went next door to Target as well and got 2 Challenge Butters for $2.54. I used (2) .55/1 coupons and paid $1.99 each.

Total was $15. plus I already spent $24 this week- so $39 for the week.  I will probably go to CVS for the free after ECB earbuds and toothbrushes.

We have been stocking up each week on extra meat that is at great prices and I really have a stuffed freezer so we didn’t need a whole lot.

Shopping Trip $24

Well I am super excited because a new organic food delivery service just started in my area. They offered a trial of the service- 15 lbs of assorted fruits and veg for $15 and it is delivered!

So I am going to test it out and see what I think. In the meantime, here is this week’s trip.

2 Cantaloupe .67 each
Kraft Cheese .99- used $1/2 coupon (tearpad found at Raley’s)= .49 each
Oranges
10lbs potatoes $3.99
Bananas

I can’t find my receipt but I paid about $9.  I used a $3 cat from last week and a $3/10 produce catalina that I got at the checkstand.

I went to Target to get coffee and discovered a ton of clearance in the frozen section!  So I got quite a few things.

Frozen Peas .54
2 Frozen Green Beans .54 each
3 larges bags frozen broccoli .98 each
Alexia Fries .97- Used $1 coupon= Free
Archer farms Sweet Potato Fries $1.24 each

Shopping Trip $57

I went to two stores this week. I have to say I could have skipped shopping altogether except for milk this week so nearly everything will go into the pantry.  We went to a party this weekend and the caterers gave my husband so much food at the end you wouldn’t believe.  We have gigantic ziplocs full of assorted produce- lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc.. and shredded chicken, beef- a massive amount of food really.  So I will have to figure out a way to try and use it all this week.

Anyhoo- click below to see the two trips I did this week:

CVS Trip .29

I had $3 in ECB expiring today so I popped into CVS-

I got 4 bags of Emerald Pecans for $2.99/2 bags (they are BOGO this week).  I used (4) $1/1 coupons- making the final price .49 per bag.

I got a .50/2 M&Ms coupon at the scanner so I bought 3 bags- they are Buy 2 at $.89 and get 1 free this week.

So after $3 ECB my grand total was $.29.

If you are planning a trip you might grab the $1/3 from 7/25 SS for M&Ms- if you get the coupon scanner coupon as well it would be .39 after all3 bags!

I did double check and the Emerald Nuts are regularly $1 each- so you can still get them free even if you don’t make it in this week.

So I bought everything and had to return it all when they rang up at $3.99 a box!  The were cut into the shelf at my store but did not have any tags on them.

I had about $17 left to spend from rebate checks that came in.  I spent $20.64 so just a little over budget but what a great shopping trip!

Shopping Trip $42

Here is this week’s shopping.  I am super happy to be under budget as I can splurge on a few extra things this week like good cheese, puff pastry and pesto.

So here is what I did- I did just two stores this week:

SAFEWAY #1:

5 Fruit Snacks .99 each- Used (2) .50 coupons and had a .50 e-coupon come off
Kix Cereal $1.49- Used .75/1 coupon and .75/1 e-coupon
Eggs .99
Almond Milk $3.29- used .55/1 coupon
2 Gogurts $2 each- Used (2) .85/1 coupons and had a total of $2.25 in e-coupons come off!
Salad $1.99
Blueberries $1.99
I paid $8.20. Sadly, this time my $1 produce coupon did not come off. I used a $3 cat from last time and paid $8.20. Then I got another $3 cat from Almond Milk and $3 for the fruit snacks!

SAFEWAY #2:

Kix Cereal $1.49- used .75/1 coupon
Wesson $2.99
2 Pillsbury Rolls $1.99 each- used .40/2
2 Simply Potatoes $2 each- used (2) .55/1 coupons
Whipped Cream $1.99
Almond Milk $3.29- used .55/1 coupon
London Broil $7.86*
Londoin Broil $7.80- used $2/10 Rancher’s Reserve coupon
Bananas $1.83
Cucumbers $1.65
Bagged Salad $1.99
Scallions $.79
Tomatoes $1.39
Blueberries $1.99

I used the (2) $3/1 cats from above and paid $28.21. I have no idea what happened but I was only charged $3.86 for the first huge pack of London Broil. I think the cashier scanned the coupon twice or maybe I have saved it to my card and it finally worked. I actually printed the coupon this time rather than trusting the e-coupon. Anyway, I won’t complain about the produce coupon not working in Transaction #1 because I figure it all evens out in the end.
I also got a $3 cat for the Almond milk for next time.

RALEYS:

Pie Crust $2.38
Kids Lunchbox $2.98- free with coupon
2 La Creme yogurts $1.99- used (2) $1/1 coupons
Brown Sugar $2.59
Cocoa $4.39
Ortho Wax $1.19 x 2, $2.39

I used a $10 cat from a few weeks ago and paid $6.50

So the total this week was $42 plus I did an $8 trip early in the week. So right on budget actually at $50. But I also got $17 in rebates so I will be buying a few extras later this week.

See the ongoing list of Safeway deals here and Raley’s deals here.

Safeway Trip

I got $17 in rebate checks this week so I decided to make a quick Safeway run.  (And I fear a coup d’etats because we ran out of milk last night.)

So here is what I did:

2 gallons milk $2.59 each
Bread $1.50- used $1 coupon
Broccoli $1.61- Used $1 off produce coupon
peas $1.69
Top Round $5.60-1.68 clearance coupon= $3.92
2 Pillsbury Sweet Moments $1.99 with in ad coupon- used (2) $1/1 printables and had $2.75 come off in e-coupons
(I think an extra Pillsbury e-coupon came off- that is why I always save all the Cellfire coupons because you just never know!)
5 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks .99 each- used (2) $.50/2 coupons and had $2 in e-coupons come off

Total was $13.08 and I used a $5 catalina- paid $8.08 and got $3 cat back for the Fruit Snacks! So basically got all the junk food free plus overage to pay for the good stuff.

Did anyone else have a good trip this week?
