Walgreens has a new booklet available with a long list of coupons inside. These are store coupons and the booklet is free of charge at the front of the store. Since these are Walgreens store coupons, they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.
Here are two tips on Walgreens coupon book coupons:
- You always, always want to give your manufacturer coupon first and then the Walgreens coupon.
- You only need one Walgreens coupon book coupon for all like items in your transaction.
This is kind of an interesting monthly book because the dates run 4/25-5/29. The April Walgreens coupon booklet runs until April 30th- so we have 5 days of overlap. Walgreens stopped having this overlap a long time ago- you used to be able to actually stack the Walgreens coupon book coupons plus a manufacturer coupon for a spectacular deal. (Does anyone else remember the good old days at Walgreens?) Anyway, there was a great diaper heist using these books and they put a stop to all of that. There is a chance they might stack this month if you find any overlapping coupons!

I’m confused. Are you saying that one can’t use a manufacturer coupon and a Walgreens coupon together anymore? But, in the top part of your post you said we should hand over the manQ’s first. Can you clarify this for me? Also, what happened with the diaper hiest? Sounds interesting
Charlene says
Paulina, I said there are overlapping dates on the booklets. So if you find a match, try using the April booklet, May booklet and a manufacturer coupon on one item during the overlapping dates.

In my experience Walgreen’s speaks from both sides of their face: bring me your coupons! but I will make your like h3ll to use them and we may or may not make up stories so we don’t have to accept them. Additionally, if this week’s ad is any indication it may be a long, long time before we see all the coupon/sale/RR stackers that we saw just a couple weeks ago. Either that tacky TLC show or the economy have limited “our’ opportunities for killer deals.

I have recently had problems at one particular Walgreen with the coupons. I was told by a ruid cashier (I’ve had problems with her before) that I couldn’t stack the manufacturer’s coupon on top of a Walgreens coupon because it was already too good of a deal with their sale??? I argued and the manager came. Oh how he loves to see me angry face, LOL! And it got fixed right away. I hate when the cashiers act like may savings with THIER coupon and a manufacture’s coupon is coming from their personal pocket! I will be using our other local Walgreens for awhile from now on. Last weeks coke 12pk sale was a scam. The sales flyer said 5/$13 with coupon on flyer. In store sign said 5/$11 with coupon but no additional coupon was offered. After being over charged I found out the cashier was supposed to us a laminated coupon at the register and didn’t! Nice work…

Can the beauty book coupons be stacked with the monthly coupon books?
Charlene says
I don’t think you can typically use (2) Walgreens coupons on the same item, Dee.

I love the fact that I went to my local Walgreens just to find the sales items all gone on Sunday. When I asked the cashier what happened to all the items she boldly looked at me and said They are in my living room I bought them all and don’t bother with the other stores I bought them all there as well. So not only do they argue about coupons and us buying to cheap, the cashiers are buying the sales items before the day even starts.
Charlene says
LOL! Ok well shoot. I am sorry for you but that is funny as heck 🙂 At least she was honest but I suspect you might be able to take this up with the store manager if you wanted to. You might have a nasty trip in the future if she knows it is you that told. Just remember that if someone feels the need to empty every store in the city of everything they can possibly get, they probably have bigger issues to contend with 😉

You know, WAGS has a lovely Internet presence that allows you to tell Corporate about your shopping experiences, both good and otherwise. I especially like to write down the Clerk’s name on my receipt — in front of them — and let them know I email all the time. I’ve talked to Corporate people when I’ve had issues and I’ve been pushed through to local Management and each time the WAGS rep has been very responsive. I haven’t gotten anyone fired (that I know of), but I know that it could happen, and so should those nasty Clerks.
I’d caution that good news goes far, bad news farther. Use your powers for good, people!

I miss the great days of rebates at Wags. When I first started couponing (before I was even REALLY serious!), that was one of my favorite things about Wags. I was doing that in college even. 🙂
I don’t shop Wags much since we moved – the closest one is nearly 30 minutes away, so I only go when I need to be near there for another reason.

I went today and couldn’t find the book. =(

I went to walgreens today and they gave me some story about how they didn’t have the may books yet, then when I nicely told them i knew they were supposed to be out I got alot of stuffering from the manager and got told they probably wouldnt be out till saturday or sunday. No tylenol precise stackers for me, bummer!

I have a question, if I use a buy one get one free coupon and they have a buy one get one free sale, would I get both for free? Thanks in advance!

Wow.. I know this is a dead page for comments already, but i just had to say I feel so blessed to live in a small town where I never get slack from cashiers! also that there are several other Walgreen’s stores withing half an hour drive and they are all full of nice employees 🙂
I have yet to even have someone complain (to my face LOL) when i split up purchases to get all the RRs. the other day I bought 4 of the same thing and asked to pay for them all seperate and got no slack what so ever! YaY for pleasant small town people!!
