Apple is releasing a new very affordable Macbook that is designed to compete with a Chromebook. The Macbook Neo is 13″ and comes in four color options. It has 256GB for the lower priced model or for $100 more get 512GB with Touch ID.
It has 16 hours of battery life and is built for AI. The price is as low as $499 which is an incredible deal for a Mac.This is a great option for a student or for someone casually using a laptop at home.

The last option is the best if you have a college student. You can register for free for UniDAYS which is a resource that provides coupons and discounts with all sorts of places. My daughter is registered and one of the discounts is from Apple for the Apple Education program. Once you register with Unidays, log in and look for Apple Education. You should be able to preorder for $499. You’ll need a valid student email to register.
