If you could use some new books to fill up your Kindle in 2025 and take your mind off all the chaos in the world, I have some recommendations of books on the best seller list and highly anticipated new releases.  Hopefully there is something for everyone with fiction, comedy, suspanse, historical novels, romance and self help.

Last Twilight in Paris by Pam Jenoff  Oh this one looks fantastic. It is a WWII story that is based on real life events. This is the story of a housewife in postwar Europe that stumbles upon a necklace in a thrift store that unravels the story of a glamorous Parisian department store that once served as a Nazu prison. The woman traces her way back through her own service during the war to try and find the story behind the woman that owned it.

Three Days in June by Anne Tyler I have not read an Anne Tyler book yet but she is a Pulizer Prize winning author and this is a very anticipated release coming out February 11th. It is the story of a women who has a life slowing falling apart and as she tries to hold things together for her daughter’s wedding, she discovers a secret about her new son in law that forces her to revisit her past.

Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry  I do like Emily Henry books. They are the feel good romance books that are so easy to read and charming. This is her newest release- out on April 22- about two writers that are competing to win the story rights to a legendary heiress’ remarkable biography.

Big Dumb Eyes by Nate Bargatze I really love Nate Bargetze- I have played his comedy specials a few times. They are so perfect when I am super stressed and just want something simple and funny to distract. This book looks like an easy read that is full of short stories from Nate’s youth and early years. Release is May 6th just in time for summer travel.

We All Live Here by Jojo Moyes Oh we all have to add any Jojo Moyes book to our reading list and this one is about a women who seems to have her life falling apart when her estranged father returns and teaches her a few lessons about love and family.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins I am familiar with Mel Robbins but I don’t really follow her closely and I certainly haven’t read any of her books. I was surprised to see her podcast was #1 in the nation the other day so I thought I should probably listen to her as she is obviously quite popular. Her book focuses on a great concept of letting go of things you can’t control, worrying about what others think and putting you on a path to living your best life.

Isola by Allegra Goodman  This is a bit more of a psychological fiction that is based on a real life story of a wealthy heiress that is kidnapped by her greedy guardian that winds up abandoning her on a small island.  She learns to survive the elements without the privilege she grew up with.

Inner Excellence by Jim Murphy  Ok if you are a mom of a teen boy in particular you need to pick up this book. It has a really cool story of how it became a bestseller but beyond that it actually sounds very compelling. The author is a coach of mental performance and this books seeks to help you overcome anxiety, self doubt, fear of failure and excel in your life.

Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez This is released April 1st and is another author that takes you away with sweet romance stories when you want a little break from real life.  This one is about a couple that has a life changing first date and yet the responsibility of family obligations pull them apart.  Can they find their way back to each other…
