Alright Father’s Day is right around the corner (June 16th) and it is definitely time to order those gifts. I really tried to put together some fun ideas that are very practical. I tried to stay away from the typical gifts you always see- polo shirts, golf accessories, whiskey glasses, BBQ supplies etc..
Hopefully these ideas are inspiring for you to find the perfect thing for the special men in your life.
Retractable Garden Hose. This is a great gift for the Dad that is invested in his yard/lawn or that regularly washes his car. I really want one of these myself because I absolutely hate wrestling with our hoses every single day. This is a hose that hangs right on the wall, pivots for ease of movement, is retractable and easily rewinds and this one is 100ft.
IcyBreeze Portable AC. This is a more pricey item but if you are a sports parent or camper or outdoorsy person, something like this can be worth every penny. It is a high powered, portable misting fan. Most fans require the big bucket of water to use which is such a pain but this guy can be filled with water at home and lasts up to 7 hours on the go. I really want this mister for softball this summer and for doing yard work this summer.
Nike Wallet. Wallets are pretty predictable but these card holders are a great gift for sneakerheads.
Draft Beer Dispenser. If Dad enjoys entertaining or loves a good beer, this is a great gift idea. Put any can beer or bottle beer in this little dispenser and get a delicious microfoam and draft beer experience.
Couch Caddy. This is a very handy thing if Dad likes to lounge in bed and scroll or on the couch. A compact little box that keeps remotes, electronics, snacks and drinks safely in one spot. There are tons of colors, sizes and designs to choose from.
Acupressure Mat. If Dad has back issues or is an athlete this little acupressure mat is very handy. You literally just lay on this guy for 10-30 minutes to aid with recovery, ease headaches and muscle tension and more… My daughter visited a high level athletic program awhile back and this was something that the coach recommended to the athletes and everyone in the family uses ours.
Car Fridge. If dad spends a lot of time in the car, or has a gnarly commute or spends a lot of time outdoors, this is super handy. It plugs into the USB port in your car and keeps beverages and snacks cool or you can set it to keep things warm.
Folding Sports Cart. Alright sports parents this is for you. Almost every weekend I see sports parents (Especially travel ball) lugging around wagons filled with coolers, chairs, equipment , pop ups etc.. We have a wagon for this purpose but my husband never, ever uses it. I saw someone recently with a cart instead of a wagon and it just looked a lot more manageable and easy. So this is something a little different that will still haul all the stuff you need for long weekends. I also like this Quest cart as another option.
Electric Squeegee. Another item that I would personally love to have and probably wouldn’t buy for myself. This electric squeegee is a great gift for the Dad that keeps his car in great condition or for the Dad that is always tinkering around at home. It can perfectly clean windows or any glass surface by spraying, cleaning and sucking. I was just looking at window cleaners and buying something like this would be a fraction of the price of professional cleaners coming out.
32oz Owala Bottle. Yeah water bottles are not an especially original idea but Dad might like a larger version for summer. My husband got hooked on a Stanley last year after we gave it to him for Father’s Day but the one he has is only 20oz and I think a larger version would be very appreciated. Owala bottles have always been my favorite and this white color is nice and neutral. Most water bottles for men are dark colors but I find those can get so incredibly hot in summer. I much prefer light colored bottles.
Lego Car Sets. This might be a fun gift for Dad to put together with the kids. These car sets are so cool and if Dad has always dreamed of a Corvette or Porshe this could be a fantastic gift idea. My daughter’s boyfriend is really into restoring cars and has done a fantastic job on a vintage Mustang. We got the Lego Mustang for him as a gift and he loved it. I was thinking my Dad had a Mustang as a teenager and he might also love that Lego set and I can definitely see him displaying the final build in his office.
Allbirds Sneakers. My husband absolutely does not buy clothes and his sneakers are in terrible condition. These Allbirds are a perfect simple Dad shoe that is lightweight and great for day to day wear.
