I wanted to put up a few ideas for Easter baskets this year just in case that is a tradition your family has for the kids. My girls are teenagers but they still get Easter baskets and I actually look forward to putting them together as a celebration that summer is right around the corner.
First up I have some ideas for those of you with older children- some of these items are a little more expensive but I tend to out a few pricey things in baskets that I probably would have purchased anyway and then fill the rest with inexpensive candy and such.
Here goes-
Mini Fridge $25 – I mentioned this before but it is a really fun alternative to a basket. This is fun for beauty products for teens to keep snacks or drinks in for long study sessions or video game time.
Metallic Highlighters – Fun and interesting school supplies can be a great addition- these metallic highlighters are different and would come in handy for studying for SATs or finals.
New Shin Guards– Obviously this is for my little soccer girl but any sports equipment your little athlete might need would be perfect. My daughter has shin guards that are probably 5 years old so I thought an upgrade would be fun for her basket.
PreWrap Bundle – Another idea for little athletes- prewrap is a super popular headband option for soccer players and I ordered a rainbow of different colors to put in Addy’s basket this year.
Stoney Clover Tumbler– this line debuts at Target on April 2 and I am really looking forward to it. The items are all so fun and this tumbler is a really cute and practical option.
Stoney Clover Patches– – another item to pick up that would be inexpensive are the little patches. My daughter will love this smiley face to iron on her school backpack.
Smiley Slides– – continuing with the smiley theme these slidesI spotted the other day and I think they are so fun. Perfect to wear around the house or after sports or at the pool this summer.
Tree Hut Lotion– Tree Hut products are so popular and this particular lotion smells like summer.
Pimple Patches– these pimple patches are also quite popular and I have heard they actually work really well. Just peel the sticker and pop on a blemish overnight and the salicylic acid will dry them up.
Haribo Candy– – these are new single flavors of pineapple and blue raspberry. I think it is a limited time offering so a perfect little something different for fruit candy fans.
PJ Shorts– and something practical that look super comfy. These tye dye PJ shorts would be great for lounging or bed time.
Teen boys can be so tricky- I asked my daughter what the boys at school like and her response was nothing. So that was helpful but I still think I got some decent ideas together.
Nike Socks– this was the one thing my daughter actually did mention so can’t go wrong here.
Sunflower Seeds– snacks are always a good idea.
Gummy Sharks– Our favorite gummy candy.
Coffee Drink– or substitute Gatorades, energy drinks etc…
Beef Jerky– these mini jerky sticks are perfect to tuck into sports bags.
Stryke Club Skin Care– This skincare line is fun, great packaging and this pimple stick is a handy and easy way for boys to treat skin flare ups.
Swim Trunks– Summer is around the corner and lots of guys probably need new trunks anyway.
Car Air Freshener– for older teens a little something to make the car not smell like teen boys is great.
Method Body Wash– And speaking of odor- these Method washes are so popular and this one smells amazing.
Glow in the Dark Ball– These are really fun especially when summer comes and kids are hanging out later at night. I picked up a Glow in the Dark volley ball for my daughter.
Hopefully you get some inspiration for your teens. I’ll be back soon with more ideas for the younger kids.
