Well California is still somewhat closed down so one of the highlights of my life is the bi-weekly Trader Joe’s adventure. I can’t watch soccer games or get my hair cut but I can most definitely strut down the aisles of TJ’s and I almost always find new things I can’t wait to try.
I thought some of you might love Trader Joe’s as much as I do so I thought I’d share a few of the new or new to me items that I find each month.
Fruit Frenzy bars- I only saw this flavor with raspberry, lemon and strawberry. I didn’t get a chance to try these because the kids gobbled them up in the blink of an eye.
Everything but the Elote seasoning- I absolutely love Elote so I had to grab this. We have had it on salads, corn, popcorn, grilled veggies and more. It’s delicious.
Fleur de Sel Caramel Sauce– I couldn’t resist this to make apple nachos for dessert. It’s so good I hid it from my family.
Cream Shave– This isn’t a new product but it’s one of my favorites. A cream shave that smells delicious instead of shaving cream cans that junk up the shower. ($3.99)
Cauliflower Thins- TJ’s shows these as an alternative to tortillas with tacos. I have only tried it with mini homemade pizzas and thought they were pretty good. These are mini- about the size of a softball.
Lemon Hand Soap– The bath product/kitchen product section is one of my favorites at Trader Joe’s and this soap smells great.
Apple Cider Doughnuts- We have a local farm that makes apple cider doughnuts every fall and they are possibly the best thing about fall and winter for that matter. And possibly summer and spring. These doughnuts are not them. But they are very good and save me an hour drive. I buy these all the time in fall and they don’t disappoint.
Sparkling Strawberry Juice- I had to buy this for the cute packaging. It isn’t something I would normally purchase and comes in Strawberry or Watermelon flavors. I thought it was just ok. If you are trying to wean kids off sodas and maybe move them toward sparkling waters, this could be a great crossover drink. It isn’t super sweet. ($3.99)
Swiss & Cauliflower Egg Frittata– these are really good. About the size of an English muffin and you pop them straight from the freezer into the oven. They have a slight swiss cheese flavor and I didn’t notice the cauliflower at all. Will def buy these again. ($2.99)
Chocolate Chip Mini Hold the Cone- I’m sure everyone is familiar with the little mini cones- they are so darn cute. About 3 bites and I always take them for parties or class events because they aren’t nearly as messy as a big treat. This is a new flavor and I never get a chance to have these because the kids gobble them down so fast.
Tomato Spread- I wasn’t brave enough to buy this and try it but darn if that packaging isn’t cute. Could be a fun addition to a charcuterie board.
Dark Chocolate Cookie Sticks- basically a cuter version of Pocky cookie sticks. I didn’t pick these up this trip because my cart was exploding with treats but these are so cute and fun. The cookie is the little unicorn horn. A fun addition to a gift basket or wrap this with a coffee gift card for teachers this year.
Any fun products you have tried recently at Trader Joe’s?
