Easter is right around the corner- just 12 days away now. I haven’t been that motivated to think about Easter celebrations because well.. bigger things going on right now. But Easter has always been an important holiday for our family and ultimately my main goal is to keep things as upbeat and normal for my kids as possible. I want them to look back when they are adults and say- wow that 2020 pandemic was crazy but I remember spending time with my sister, playing a lot of catch with my Dad and doing all sorts of projects with my Mom.
So I better get it in gear and get Easter baskets sorted out. I came up with a few ideas for baskets this year for little kids and big kids. Now really is for sure the time to order as shipping is taking so much longer and there are rumors of delivery driver strikes.
Hopefully some of these ideas will bring a smile to your children’s faces… Everything linked can either be shipped or ordered for curbside pickup but please note stuff is going in and out of stock so quickly these days. You might order soon just to be sure you get it in time.
Metallic Markers – my daughter loves markers and has all sorts of different pens, colored pencils, markers but these metallic ones are a little different and perfect for writing notes or doodling in a day planner.
Lindt Truffles- these Neapolitan truffles are really good and only available this Spring. I bought these for my girls last month and their friends were begging for them out of their lunchboxes.
Novelty Socks– these novelty socks are hugely popular and come in so many colors and patterns.
Eva NYC Seeing Stars Holographic Spray– this spray is so pretty and comes in gold or pink. It is a subtle glitter spray for your hair- my daughter gives this to her friends all the time as birthday gifts and it is always a hit.
Cable Bites – These cable bites are so cute and practical too. No more fights over whose cord belongs to whom or which cord goes to what. You can get a pack and then just divvy them up in multiple baskets or save for future gifts.
Inflatable Chairs– these chairs are pretty cool and actually comfortable. I was thinking this might be a fun gift idea because your kiddos can set up a little space for themselves in the front yard, side yard, a quiet corner in a park etc… and maybe get a little quiet time to play video games or read.
Puchao Candy– My kids absolutely love the Daiso store in the mall because there are so many fun sodas and candy options we don’t normally see. Easter is a great time to get the traditional candy and chocolates but also a really fun time to try something new and different- these Puchao candies are good and we absolutely love Hi Chew.
Flip Flops- We always do pool/summer items in baskets because the warm weather will be coming. These flip flops are cute or my girls prefer these Adidas slides as they are more durable and comfortable.
Wilson Grafitti Volleyball– If your child is missing sports, a fun and unique ball might be a great idea. I love this graffiti volleyball from Wilson. I plan to get the Euro 2020 ball for my daughter (even though Euro 2020 is postponed now)- she is going to love the holographic foil. Basketball players might like this globe Spalding ball.
Wallflowers Plug In– my younger daughter has one of these in her room and big sister has been asking for one too. They are spending more time in their rooms these days so might as well make it smell good.
Mamba Mentality book– This would be a fantastic gift for a sports fan. I can’t wait to read this with my daughter- this break from sports is a great time to hone in on leadership characteristics and mindset that will benefit little athletes once they do get back to regular team practices.
Strawberry Pool Float– if you do have a pool at home, pool toys and floats are fun and you will likely be buying new ones anyway. This strawberry is very fun.
Reusable Straws– yup. Practical and these would be a great gift along with a fun drink like Izze or Pellegrinos instead of traditional candy.
Glow in the Dark Perler Beads– Perler Beads are really fun- you can make all sorts of designs with them. These glow in the dark ones my daughter would flip over.
Baseball Glove Pool Float– I am definitely getting this for my little girl this year- she misses softball so much.
Light Up Splash Bombs– these look so fun for the pool. I think summer stuff and pool stuff gives kids something to look forward too.
Warheads Super Sour– both of my kids love Warheads. I have super sour eggs going in both baskets.
Plane Ride On Float– for smaller people, these look so cute!
Olive & June Nail Art Stickers- these are so fun and whimsical. Little nail art stickers that are easy to apply and come in several different graphics.
Whale Bluetooth Speaker– this is the cutest little Bluetooth speaker I have ever seen. Perfect if you are spending a little more time in the yard.
Animal Phone Stand – the kids might be on iPhones and iPads a bit more now. These stands are really cute for propping up on desks- my girls are on Facetime constantly these days.
Scented Gel pens- we got these as a gift awhile back and they are really fun pens. Now that we are all home schooling, fun school supplies might not be a bad idea.
Emoji Uno– Uno is a favorite in this house and this Emoji version should be a hit with kids and tweens.
Bubbles- yup. Bubbles never get old and there are so many fun versions out right now. I bought one of these gloves to take to the park with our dogs.
