Children’s Christmas Bedroom Ideas

Simple, pink and gold decorated girl’s room for Christmas.

We have been slowly but surely adding holiday decor around the house for a few weeks now.  It always takes me forever to get through all the boxes and decide what I want to keep and sell and how I want to decorate for the year.

I don’t like a lot of clutter so I actually tend to sell old holiday decor and I reuse things year after year. We started a tradition of decorating the girl’s rooms a few years ago and they absolutely love it.  It really is so fun and so magical to see the glow of their bedrooms during the holiday season.

My little girl has a light room with hints of pink so I reused a lot of her holiday decor from last year to create a soft and bright pink, gold and silver room this year.

I bought a new flocked tree this year (only $35 at Walmart!) and propped it up in the basket we normally use for her stuffed animals.  For the past several years she has danced in the Nutcracker ballet so last year I did a Sugar Plum Fairy theme with lots of Nutcrackers and pink and gold ornaments.  Sadly she has retired her ballet shoes but we still love going to see the Nutcracker so she has a basket of holiday books and a handful of Nutcrackers I reused again this year.

Just a few Nutcrackers on the dresser.

I bought a big box of glittery jingle bells at Home Goods and used those as ornaments this year and also hung them from the ceiling, along with some stars on her side wall. I absolutely love how this turned out.  So simple and so fun.

Her bedding is white and I found the cutest ornament pillow at Target for only $5 in the Bullseye section.

A few other little trees from the Bullseye section at Target and I dropped some faux snow and pinecones into a lantern with twinkle lights.  Super simple and the twinkle lights are set on the timer to go on at night and off automatically.

Maya’s room might be my favorite spot in the house this Christmas.  I just love how fresh it looks with all the white and light colors but that little tree and a handful of decorations make it feel so warm and magical for the holidays.

Here are a few links of items I used in this room:

  • Pink, White and Gold Nutcrackers
  • Gold Lantern
  • Twinkle Lights
  • Hanging Gold Star
  • Our favorite Nutcracker book

Do you remember where you got the Noel pillow? I’d love to buy one for my daughter’s room!
