You can get a great deal on Audible just in time for the end of summer!
I have talked about Audible for years on this blog and have been a member for a very long time.
Audible is an audio book subscription service, you pay a monthly fee and you get a credit for a book. Choose any book you want- self help, fiction, nonfiction– whatever… and you can listen to the book via the app.
If you don’t like the book you chose, just return it and get your credit refunded for something else!
The subscription is currently $4.95 for new members per month- that gets you one credit for one book for the first three months. After that the credit goes up to $14.95 per month or get a better deal when you get more credits per month. This offer is for Prime members only.
I get 2 credits per month and they just roll over if I don’t use them (but I always use them) and I listen to tons and tons of audiobooks. I just finished Emily Giffin’s newest book All We Ever Wanted and I listened to a self help book before that, Mindset by Carol Dweck and I am currently listening to the new Jenny Colgan book, The Endless Beach.
I listen while I am editing photos, cooking, driving, walking the dog, folding laundry and on and on… I much prefer audiobooks to podcasts these days and it helps me get through the stacks of books I want to read without actually sitting down and dedicating an afternoon to reading.
I finished All We Ever Wanted while painting the laundry room and Jenny Colgan is keeping me company while testing Zucchini recipes for the blog.
You can also grab some books for summer car trips too with the family! The new Bill Clinton/James Patterson one would be great with your spouse or I highly, highly recommend the audio book reading of the Harry Potter books. I actually listened to all of them before having children- the narrator is excellent!
