This is such a simple project I debated whether it was worth posting or not. In the end I decided simple projects are the best projects right? This is something anyone can do and I think it makes a very basic and inexpensive basket look so adorable.
Here is how you can customize your little basket in about 5 minutes:
I found these cute little baskets at Target in the Bullseye section for $5 each. The same look can easily be duplicated by winding yarn around the handle of the basket or a plain basket works perfectly too.
So I started with a cute basket and added some butterflies and flowers I already had on hand in my craft supplies. I picked up some bumble bees and a pinwheel at the craft store and let the hot gluing begin.
Just a few dabs of hot glue on the back and some faux green stuffed inside and that is it.
Here is the basket for my big girl- all stuffed and ready for Easter:
I think this turned out really cute and my girls were absolutely delighted. These butterflies are very inexpensive and can be found at Dollar Stores or craft stores. Just one bunch of $1 faux flowers goes a long way so basically $2 per basket to add a little customization and personality to an otherwise plain basket.
Happy Easter!

Cute basket, but I can’t get over your daughters dress! It’s the cutest! May I ask where you got it?
Hi Angie,
Thanks so much! I found this little company called Eleanor Rose. They come out with lines of dresses and they basically sell out in a day. You can sign up and they email you when they have sales and then you want to set your alarm and buy the dresses immediately 😉 They go on sale at like 5am my time and I waited until 8am when I was up and on the computer the first time and the dresses had already sold out. So for Easter I loved these and actually got up at 5am to get the darn things. Crazy!
But I can say they are extremely well made and far better than any dress I might pick up at the mall. They also have adjustable straps so kids can hand them down or adjust for growth and wear them again and again.

The Easter collection (Woodland Bunnies) is sold out but I got this one you see plus the matching one in light blue and purple for my 9 year old and we are very happy with both dresses.
