Moana movie is released this week and I thought I would put together some ideas for a fun movie night.

Not a lot of effort is needed to create something really special and memorable for the kiddos. If you have been to Hawaii or dream of going to Hawaii this could be a great time to talk about vacation memories or dreams with the kids.

Here are a few ideas for a fun themed dinner:

Moana party ideas

Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pineapple Chicken // Polynesian Meatballs // Luau Ribs

And dessert ideas:

moana party foods

Pineapple Frozen Yogurt // Adorable Fruit Boat // Sand Pudding Cups

And treats for watching the movie:

POG Juice // Hawaiian Popcorn // Jelly Beans and Goldfish snacks (source unknown)

And some fun items the kids will love:

Moana Toys

Moana Singing Doll //  Hei Hei Plush // Moana PJs // Moana Book

You will of course want to pick up the Bluray:

I love this! I can’t wait to rent the movie as it will be available next week to rent. We just rented Trolls last night and watched it with popcorn and I made Troll cookies and gave my kids Troll coloring books. It’s little things like doing special things to go along with a rented movie that make it that much more special! What perfect timing for this post! Thanks for the ideas! 🙂

Oh we saw Trolls in theater and it was a darling movie. I agree Ashlyn, I just have to get my act together a bit to plan a few fun things for these movie nights. What Troll cookies did you make? I will steal that idea 😉

I wish I could say I made adorable cookies, but they are just troll shaped ones made by pillsbury for the movie. They were the blue and pink trolls. Then you can decorate them with frosting and eyes and such 🙂
