I absolutely love Back to School season.  It is a little bitter sweet sending my girls back to school after spending so much time with them during summer but back to school shopping seems to soften the blow a bit.

You can find me literally skipping down the school supply aisles grabbing up colorful pens, fresh notepads, sharp pencils and I love buying new clothes for back to school.  There is something about a fresh start that just makes me happy, the crispness in the air, pumpkin spice everything and crunchy apples.  I love it all.

I take clothes shopping seriously for back to school.  My children wear uniforms so we have lots of khaki, navy and grey in our life.  I don’t buy them a lot of regular clothing as a result and the things I do buy, I tend to spend a bit of time thinking about and looking for special pieces.  They can only wear regular clothes on weekends and occasionally on free dress days at school so we have a small selection of the best of the best that I can find.

This year for back to school I was so thrilled to partner with Mini Boden.  I fell in love with the cute and whimsical styles a few years ago after a friend just raved and raved about the quality. Mini Boden is a British company known for the quality leggings, adorable dresses and whimsical t-shirts.  The items are very high quality and made to last.  I have found with Mini Boden that my big girl can get a lot of use from the clothing and it still holds up well as a hand me down for my little girl.  Other clothing brands I have purchased definitely don’t hold up for long with my children.

Here are a few things I picked up for Back to School for my girls:

Mini Boden back to school

I couldn’t resist this adorable dress for my (almost) 9 year old.  Fresh and light but somewhat vintage looking and pretty.  So many things I see these days for this age group feel too grown up to me.  Mini Boden has sweet dresses that are age appropriate.  The clothing is all machine washable and there are no itchy tags.

My favorite items by far were the cute little green sneakers, these overalls and the adorable rainbow shirt.  At first my little girl was afraid the overalls would make her look like a boy, but we tried them on and they were absolutely adorable!  On Friday the kids can wear jeans to school instead of uniform pants and I know we are going to get tons and tons of use from these overalls.

Every item we buy has to be quality because my girls are so hard on clothes.  They love to play and run and jump and when I used to buy inexpensive children’s clothes, the seams would rip or the knees would be stained or the colors would fade and things just looked terrible after just a few uses.

And these shoes!  I love this vibrant green color. They are going to really pop against the navy blue of her uniform and they are still flexible enough for random gymnastics and tumbling that comes along on the playground.  Even better, no shoelaces so quick to slip on as we race out the door in the morning.

Another favorite is this darling rainbow dress.

As I mentioned- Mini Boden is known for details and uniqueness and this is a great example.  The little trim on this dress is so sweet.  It is stiff enough to stay (mostly) wrinkle free all day but super soft and easy to wear.

Here is an example of the darling t-shirts.  This one has so much personality and is so sweet and vibrant and fun.  She can wear it with jeans, shorts, or twirly skirts and it looks fantastic.

Oh!  And last but not least- these darling slippers I could not resist!

The pair on the left is for my baby girl.  She dances in the Nutcracker each year and we go to see the ballet as well as read the book.  I set these mouse slippers aside for closer to Christmas- she is going to love them! My big girl is having a farm birthday party next weekend and I had to get these sheep slippers and some cute sheep pj’s.  I can already tell you they will be her favorite gift this year.

And I want you guys to be able to try these clothes out this year for your little ones too!  I have an awesome coupon code to take 25% off your entire order!  That is a great discount.  Just click here to start shopping and this discount is applied at checkout.

Your shipping is free on a $49 order and returns are free on a $49 order.

If you are feeling lucky, there is an awesome giveaway too!  I am partnering with Mini Boden and Influence Central for this giveaway.  Influence Central will be offering (3) $500 vouchers to use at Boden and Mini Boden!  Yeah!!

The contest opened August 1st and closes August 22nd. I-C will randomly select 3 winners from all program entries and will handle fulfillment of the winning prizes.

Wow! Great prizes, and super fun photos of your girls! Thanks for sharing your Boden experience, were always looking for QUALITY kids clothes. Out here in the country my kids seem to eat clothes, they fade in the sun, tear out the knees, or fray at the seems; we may be country, but we try not to look shabby

Ha ha! We may be suburban but we don’t want to look shabby either! So, so, so right. I occasionally pick up inexpensive items and regret it. What is the point of saving money if the item just falls apart.

Right Beth. They are a bit more than I spend elsewhere but if they last twice as long it is often worth it for those fun pieces or staples 🙂
