I think most of us probably have Ticonderoga Pencils on the school supply list this year. Our schools specify this brand because it really is fantastic and much better quality than store brands.

Staples has its store-brand number-two pencils on sale even cheaper– a box of 12 for 75 cents — just in case the brand doesn’t matter.
Oops! I should have added that the reviews are definitely divided: some folks think they’re just as good as Ticonderoga, others say they’re garbage. Has anyone here tried the Staples-brand pencils before?
Annye, I haven’t but anytime I buy store brand I kick myself. For $.75 though might be worth a shot 😉 Did you see my note last week about visiting Oregon? We actually did make it to Crater Lake, Bend and Ashland. I loved Ashland! Hoping to do another post before the end of summer.
