The lowest price we have seen is $35 and that was right before Christmas. I would for sure jump on this deal if you are interested in a Kindle.
Several kids at school got kindles for Christmas and now my 8 year old is semi-obsessed my my Kindle. We recently subscribed to Kindle Freetime (the service for kids) that has tv shows, videos, books and apps all designed for a specific age group and it is all free. No sneaky in app purchases, no chance of stumbling upon inappropriate content and you can set timers and such that shut off the apps for example until the kiddo has finished 20 minutes of reading.
It is really very cool and would be a great item to pick up for summer vacation!
