We have two of these chairs from about 2 years ago. I stained them and they are not super, super sturdy but they have held up well for being out in the elements for two years. You can sit on them comfortably but I do notice a difference in quality when I sit on one of the $100 or $120 Adirondack chairs at other stores. These chairs do fold up for storage.
