Eucalyptus Vapor Bath Salts

We are right in the middle of winter and I know some of you are still buried in snow and cold weather.  I thought I would post a super simple recipe for Eucalyptus Vapor bath salts.

A hot bath is so comforting when you aren’t feeling so great and can really help tired muscles and minor aches and pains.

This soothing bath is usually the first thing I do when someone in our family is feeling under the weather.

This recipe is for one bath- you can mix up extra to have on hand or it only takes a second to make as needed:

1 cup Epsom Salts
1/2 cup baking soda
10 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oils*
5 drops Lavender Essential Oils*

You can substitute lemon, rosemary, peppermint or wintergreen for the lavender but I like that oil specifically because it is such a relaxing and calming fragrance.

If I am really feeling terrible, I will increase this to 2 cups of Epsom salts and increase the oils accordingly. For a regular soothing bath when I am feeling under the weather or a little extra fatigued, this is the go to recipe I use.

Please remember with a hot bath and epsom salts you want to be sure you are staying well hydrated.

*High quality essential oils are very important. I prefer Young Living essential oils.  The best (and safest) way to purchase them is direct through a Young Living representative.

And here are a few other recipes you might enjoy:
