Every January Target has a big toy clearance. They move out all the excess toys from Christmas and they get ready to bring out new items. Please note that the selection can be very limited depending on how busy your store is and how much inventory they tend to stock.
Discounts have already been spotted as high as 70% off. This varies by store but it’s worth checking to see. Plus, use the 15% off cartwheel offer to save even more!
I found prices as high as 50% off at my store. There wasn’t a ton to choose from but I did see items in every section- cars, super heroes, doll accessories, toddler toys, games and so on.
This is a great time to stock up for birthday parties or grab items for your gift closet. In past years, we have seen bigger markdowns mid January but it seems they are starting earlier this year. You can always call ahead to your store and ask. Another tip is to scan items as sometimes they are not marked correctly.

How do you use the cartwheel coupons? My Target just had 50% and not too much variety. Just went there today and the cartwheel coupon says it’s just good till 1/2
Cara, you need to create an account and then save the offer to your account. When you are ready to shop, just pull up the Cartwheel app on your phone, you will see an option to pull up your bar code. The offer will be attached to your barcode so just show it to the cashier at checkout. They scan it and the 15% comes off automatically. Super simple 🙂
Ashley, I don’t know but you can always call and ask. My guess is 50% off and possibly 70% off on Sunday but I don’t know how things will change since they add the showcase areas now. They might not have as much space for clearance.
